What’s not to love about the Riverwalk? For someone who no longer lives in San Antonio, but visits here and there and after living there for 20 years we still enjoy doing the touristy things. After a recent trip in November, we visited the sugar factory for lunch. My daughter and I shared the rainbow sliders, which were not too bad. Maybe they could’ve been seasoned a little bit more perhaps? I enjoyed their five dollar margarita drink special while people watching from our outdoor table. I would go back again and try more of the sugary treats that they offer on their menu.
I normally don't review places ever but I feel the need to let others know to prevent the same outcome. We ordered our food and then proceeded to have food that we didn't order dropped at our table and waitress walked away. After receiving the correct order I asked for a medium rare steak which came out completely well done. I asked to have a discount mind you I ate half the steak it was not inedible but it was close. I asked if I could receive a discount after showing the meal to the manager I was offered a 5$ discount on my 40$ poorly cooked steak. Due to the fact I ate half of it and should have only taken one bite and sent it back. Mind you the waitress did not come back after serving our food for at least 20 minutes. As well as the fact we ordered food and drinks at the same time but the drinks were 20 minutes later than the food.
First time visit for my wife and I. Came in out of the cold for some hot chocolate and meal. Really clean and festive restaurant. Friendly staff. Engaging and pleasant. Food was fresh and flavorful. Had the Spanish Hash. Good portion size. We would definitely come back. Highly recommend.
We had an amazing experience at Sugar Factory for our daughter’s birthday! The food was delicious, generously portioned, and served fresh. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun. The birthday surprise by the staff was unforgettable with lively music, flashing strobe lights, and a megaphone that added to the excitement. Our daughter was thrilled, and the entire restaurant joined in singing “Happy Birthday,” making it even more memorable. Highly recommend for a fun celebration.
We Celebrated our daughter's birthday this weekend and everything was absolutely amazing! Dolores was our waitress and hands down the Best! So friendly and outgoing she answered all our questions and made our experience unforgettable. The food was so fresh and tasty and the girl's loved the hand-made strawberry shake. The staff also sang Happy birthday in style and brought her choice of ice-cream to finish the meal! Definitely recommend for any special occasion 💗
