Sunset Kennels is the friendliest, most caring kennel we have found. We are beyond happy to have found such a place, that we feel completely confident that our pet is in loving care, and she loves to go to! Thank you Candace, Amber and staff, for all that you do !!
Our (fur) boys love going to Sunset when we are on vacation! We know they are in great hands. The staff is friendly and take great care of our boys!

When my husband and I take our baby (10 year old black lab/mastiff/sharpei mix) to Sunset Kennels, it always feels like he's staying with beloved family members. We have been taking him there for years and I can honestly say it's one of our most trusted places to take our dog. He is not fond of car rides, but as soon as he sees that we are pulling up to Sunset Kennels he gets so excited because he knows he will be treated well and he gets to meet both new and old friends (furbabies and humans alike). Candace and all of her staff are incredibly friendly as well as helpful and understanding. Our dog can be shy around new humans but he adapted to everyone at Sunset Kennels very quickly. This in my opinion is a tribute to their friendly environment, kindness, understanding, and displays the care they put into looking after everyone's furbabies. They adapt so well to the needs of every furbaby who walks in the door. Our dog loves playing with the other dogs there, so I always get him extra play time. He also enjoys all of the special treats they have available for purchase including a peanut butter filled Kong, pupsicles, and more! His brother (littermate who belongs to my friend) also stays there, and they are always happy to play together whenever they are there simultaneously. Sunset Kennels also offers fun activities such as dog art and we proudly display an art piece that our baby and his brother made together over our fireplace. Sunset Kennels does a great job with several available activities for all of the furbabies. They can also provide updates on how things are going as a service, which I think is great especially if it's the first time away from home for your baby. Their prices are reasonable and you have the option to bring food, beds, etc if you would like. They do have food for purchase if you need that as well during the time your furbabies are on vacation. I love the fact that they have grooming services as well as daycare if need be. Our baby is not fond of bath time and getting his nails trimmed. But he gets a bath, nail trim, and his teeth brushed at Sunset Kennels, and whenever he leaves from a boarding weekend he smells so great (like blueberries)! The conditioner they use makes his coat extra shiny. He leaves looking like an extra handsome good boy (and by the way he loves playing in the dirt before he leaves home and days before his bath while on "pupcation" at Sunset. They give your dog a bath on the last day in the afternoon prior to pickup). They make everything easy and they look out for the needs of all furbabies. I recommend Sunset Kennels to everyone I can because at Sunset your babies are truly on vacation - and are pampered to the fullest extent. I cannot recommend them enough, so if you want a quality place for your pet(s) (and yes, they board cats too!) to stay and for them to be treated with love and tender care, please take them to Sunset Kennels before tiu leave on vacation (or if you are on a business trip or moving, I know they have long-term stays available as well). You will not be disappointed, because at Sunset Kennels your furbaby or furbabies are also on vacation and they deserve to be pampered the Sunset Kennels way! ❤️
Our frenchie has been coming here for the last 3 years. Started out for a weekend stay that turned into 2 or 3 days a week for daycare. He absolutely loves to be here. The staff are great with him!! This year we boarded him for about two weeks while we was on vacation. Not a worry about his stay we know he is being taken care of. We recommend Sunset kennels for long stays or just a few days a week.
