My recent 2023 visit to Honolulu allowed me to visit Tabora Gallery Waikiki for my first time. Seascape artist Roy Tabora is the world's best seascape artist, in my humble opinion. I was pleased to read Tabora had a gallery in Waikiki Beach & so I looked forward to seeing it on this visit. At Tabora Gallery, I enjoyed meeting Brandy, Gallery Art Consultant, & getting updated/more educated about Roy's work. I was pleased to see Tabora's artwork in this gallery. His work remains stunningly beautiful. If you enjoy seascape art, I strongly recommend visiting any Tabora Gallery near you, particularly at the Tabora Gallery Waikiki. 🌴
The art here is amazing. The prices are insane so we didn't buy anything but when we do purchase our home, I will definitely come back for a couple pieces. Those little bronze goat statues are the cutest! Edited to say thank you to the reply. We did see some artwork we loved, the artist who does the curved framing, I forget his name but we will definitely get one or two of his works, as well as one of those goats! The prices are high on some of the items but it's art and it's by local artists so we understand, just sticker shocked, maybe because it was the first art gallery in Hawaii we had been to but we completely understand some pieces are going to be in the thousands. I'll have to save for a baby goat, though, lol.
The art here is fantastic and fairly reasonably priced -- not that I could realistically afford some of it, even so, but still. The manager gave us some of the history of the art and pointed out some of the different artists and their styles. She also went out of her way to help my younger kids enjoy their time there, giving them paper and markers and pulling up chairs for them at her desk so they could create their own "masterpieces" while we looked around. This may have been in her best interest to keep them from "looking with their fingers" at some of the more delicate pieces ;) but we still very much appreciated it. There was never even a hint of annoyance or pressure to just move along or buy something like we sometimes get when we're in these fancier types of places with our young children, which we also appreciated. Would highly recommend if you like beautiful tropical art and friendly staff.
En una palabra: infinito. Mientras estaba de vacaciones en un paraíso para turistas, me topé con el mayor tesoro que un aficionado al arte podría imaginar. La Tabora Gallery es un espectáculo para la vista, pinturas de una calidad tan grandiosa y lujosa, cada una es un tesoro precioso por derecho propio. Tabora cuenta con un personal muy informado y atento, dispuesto y listo para guiarte por su galería y por cada uno de sus artistas destacados. Tabora hace un trabajo espléndido al mezclar pinturas de alta gama con esculturas, en un nivel de igual valor. Óleo, acrílico, aluminio, bronce y mármol; todas estas cosas se pueden encontrar en un nivel de belleza que solo puede describirse como divino, de la Tabora Gallery. (No trabajo allí, solo soy un adolescente común, inspirado por la belleza y la maestría que presencié hoy)
