If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The food is absolutely awful. The ribeye had the texture of boiled meat with fake grill marks. I asked for medium rare but was instead served a steak looking closer to slightly boiled flesh on a plate (yuck). Not to mention it was absolutely tasteless (lack of seasoning AND lack of marble. This was no doubt a low grade cut disguised as ‘Choice’). The mashed potatoes were super salty and the steamed veggies reminded me of the mixed bags you throw in the microwave. Truly, nothing was good. To add insult to injury, the service is also pretty pathetic —not accommodating at all. Chips are served without salsa. Yeah, just baskets of tortillas chips with nothing to dip it in, and every little thing has an up charge (i.e. requesting sour cream with your fajitas = +$2 and was never brought out by the way, lol.) You truly could NOT PAY ME to eat at this place again. Don’t be fooled by the website or decor, there is NOTHING upscale about this place. The food is disgusting, and the service MAY be even worse. You’ll find a better steak at Longhorn (not joking), and better tacos on a random food truck down the street.

Lunch here was great. I had the ribeye burger. My friend did her wedding here. The rooms they have to rent are beautiful 😍. We were told we could set it up how we wanted, but that was not the case. We were able to pivot & it still worked. It's a great place for dinner parties & intimate gatherings.

I didn’t know what Tekila steakhouse on Union Ave. would be like. It exceeded all of our expectations and then some. The quality of the food, the excellent service, atmosphere, creativity of the menu, and the atmosphere was excellent. The prices mean that is a special occasion for us, but so worth it. This will be our new favorite place.

What an incredible experience at Takila Mexican Steakhouse in Memphis! I stopped by solo for dinner and was blown away by every aspect of my visit. I ordered the tamarindo margarita and top sirloin burger, both excellent, but the real showstopper was the salsa made fresh to taste right at your table, absolutely phenomenal! I couldn’t even eat any fries because the chips and custom salsa were so good! The attention to customization and freshness really sets this place apart. The timing worked out perfectly as I arrived just before the dinner rush, and the manager went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and taken care of. The level of hospitality was outstanding. The ambiance deserves special mention too - dining in such a beautifully preserved historic building adds a unique atmosphere that you just can’t find everywhere. The character and charm of the space really enhanced the entire experience. This place made such an impression that I’m already planning my next trip to Memphis just to come back here. Highly recommend for anyone looking for exceptional food, service, and atmosphere!

We had reservations and were promptly seated. Appetizers and entrees were adequately spaced, our drinks were delicious without being potent. Kudos to the chef because all our dishes were hot and so dang good. The ambiance is very elevated, beautifully decorated.
