Traveled from Notts and with the help of the other reviews on this is it got us to visit! And trust me it deserves all the positive reviews given. The 2 guys there Ben and Tom were so friendly from the second we entered the door! The passion they have for coffee is top tier and it's rare to hear a cafe give us an option for the beans they offer and talk us through the tasting notes. The food was great, went for the banana bread and the (toasted) cinnamon bun, we didn't have breakfast before but the combo filled us up for the morning! Music wasn't some rubbish hit songs, it was a nice smooth jazz adding to the atmosphere of the place. Shame we didn't go when its a warm day as it would be nice to sit out and enjoy the coffee. Ben kept his consistency with greeting everyone and explaining the coffee which is impressive and a rare trait to have for customer service. Tom has an impressive latte art and the speed he did them was spot on! Keep up the great work and hopefully visit again! 🙌 (Photo is the honey and cinnamon latte)
Great experience from start to finish! staff were so friendly, they gave us recommendations for both coffee and sweet treats and even asked us what temperature we would like our coffee. Free complimentary water with our coffee and the menu is very special offering drinks that you don’t see many places. Very passionate about their business and you can tell they love what they do. 10/10 experience, only critique is that the shop isn’t big enough, they should be bigger!
Really nice café with a welcoming vibe. I had a great experience at this café. The staff was incredibly kind and made us feel at ease from the moment we walked in. They were very attentive and genuinely friendly. They guided us through their specials and offered recommendations. We ended up choosing a latte and a cinnamon bun (which they also heated for us) and both were really good. What impressed me the most was the service…the highlight of the café: warm, thoughtful, and natural. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, it was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. It’s a place where you can relax and enjoy good food and drinks.
If every cafe welcome you like this place, we would have one of the best industries in the world. I was in Town for the Aeropress Championship and I decided to get a coffee beforehand. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, I thought people had forgotten how to do that here! Anyway, they cleared my seat and I ordered a coffee. I really appreciate the enthusiasm from all the staff! It is what separates the best from the ok places. Anyone can serve fancy coffees from top roasters, but not every can execute them and maintain excellent service at the same time. My coffee was also made really well, I don't usually give good reviews off a first visit, but I thought it was deserved here. It was the sort of experience I expect in 2025 in a city centre. I had a flat white made with Jairo Acilla co ferment. I don't mind them with milk. I was well prepared and the texture was excellent. Coffees were some off the better ones I've had since coming back to the UK. Thanks for reading and if you love coffee as much as I do, then follow my instagram over at This Lad Loves Coffee. All opinions are my own. I don't do paid reviews.
