Everything here tastes wonderful. Whatever you order, you'll have a hard time finding a place that does that better. I live in OC but whenever I have business in the area, I make sure to pick up a drink and 1 or 2 pounds of coffee beans. Also, I don't know if this is new or I was just not aware but they do teas too! Not really my thing but I had an iced mint tea the other day that was amazing 🤩 Oh and the people are awesome too lol can't leave them out 😁
Coffee is bomb. Service is lovely!!!! Nicest people working here. Cute vibes too. Will be back to work outside on their cute patio!!
Finally found a spot that opens at 6am that isn’t Starbucks ! Such a cute little coffee place, the two girls were super friendly and helpful . They explained their whole menu and gave such a great recommendations. Cheese dashing was tasty, as well as the pumpkin spice latte . It was on the little pricy side but will definitely come back when in the area
Couple years ago my wife and I started grinding our coffee at home hence we tried different beans from different countries and different distributors one day driving for Ventura boulevard we found this place so we stopped just to try it. As soon as we stepped in we felt welcomed by the coffee smell and also by the friendly service. One of the highlights is that the people is always open to answering questions and if you request for a recommendation either for whole bean combinations, drinks or grind coffee. They have the best. In my opinion you get the BEST coffee here .
After I upgraded my coffee setup, I realized that the store-bought beans just weren't cutting it. So, I decided to check out some local roasters and found The Coffee Roaster. Their website keeps a log of when each coffee is roasted, which is super helpful. I recommend letting the beans rest for at least three days after roasting. While the prices are listed per pound, you can actually buy a quarter pound if you prefer. I grabbed some Ethiopian and Java beans since I wanted a medium roast with lower acidity. I just brewed the Ethiopian coffee with my espresso machine, and wow! The first thing that hit me was the floral aroma. It had low acidity and a really fruity flavor. I'm totally hooked! I couldn't find any info on pulling espresso shots on their site, so I chatted with Steve. He suggested using 18 grams of ground beans to get 36 grams of coffee at 200°F in 25-30 seconds. I really hope they add that info to their site soon. For my espresso, I grind 19.5 grams of beans and pull 42.5 grams of coffee at 198°F in 30-32 seconds. I'm excited to experiment with a 1:2 ratio and maybe try slightly higher temperatures!
