The atmosphere was calm and cozy, not too loud, which made it a nice spot to relax.You can tell the beans are roasted in-house because the flavour feels richer and more balanced than regular café coffee. The owners are friendly and actually took time to explain the different options instead of rushing the order. What I liked most was how welcoming the place felt. It didn’t feel intimidating like some specialty coffee shops can be. It’s a great spot whether you’re a coffee lover or just want a really good cup.Always coming back for the Café Mocha and delicious desserts 🤩
Fantastic place. Cute cafe run by owners that are passionate about coffee and it shows. They’ve got a whole selection of beans to choose from for pour overs, from all sorts of locations and processing methods (washed, anaerobic, etc). I didn’t know what any of this meant for my coffee but he kindly explained all the varieties, how process affects flavour, and recommended a few based on our preferences. I also hear their vanilla lattes are great if you’re looking for something sweeter. They roast their beans in-store too! Really cool stuff. And great neighborhood to explore after sipping on your coffee.
We visit lots of coffee shops along hwy401 city's between Ottawa and Niagara, the Hub is the only one we consistently return to. The owners are always behind the counter, very friendly, and really know their coffee. The espresso and pour overs are always made perfectly. The quality control here is like no other cafe we've been to.
On a cold winter day, finding this place was like a lighthouse. The front is super clean, giving a very precise nature to everything, down to the height of the chairs being just ergonomically satisfying. The service was wonderful, the barista inquiring about my preferences. After settling on a more fruity profile, I went with a pour over and a cookie. This is one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. The floral and fruity notes was on point, distilled into a drinkable temperature and the chocolate chunk Cookie had no issues. You can taste the brown butter, the craginess from the texture and the finishing salt to complete the coffee. This is very similar to a Kenji Lopez Alt cookie and I'm here for it. The brownie and the latte was also on point. The latte was silky but had an excellent punch of espresso working in harmony. The brownie was crumbly but held really well, with a deep chocolate taste but not overly sweet. This is one of the best coffee spots in Hamilton and I hope to stop by here whenever I can. Grab a seat, grab a cup and enjoy!
I loved their light-medium roast coffee! They roast the beans on location and there are so many varieties to bring home to sample. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for outstanding coffee and a comfortable place to relax.
