You know how losing a hairstylist can leave a hole in your life? Well, after four years being part of a wonderful yoga studio in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, I moved back to Milwaukee this fall and felt a huge hole in my soul. That is, until I walked into Moving Galaxy, which was like being enveloped by pure presence. The vibe, focus on breath, and traditional approach were exactly what I was looking for. The Moving Galaxy is the best of the best! I appreciate the accessibility when it comes to variations to fit skill levels and comfortably. I also really appreciate the depth of knowledge of the teachers and their approach to a yoga practice beyond body movement- one that also gives you broader perspective on life outside of the studio walls.
I love The Moving Galaxy. Climb the stairs to the 2nd floor and you'll find a thoughtful, beautiful space to focus on your mind and body. The 2 studios are lovely- soft lighting, natural light thru the windows, colorful walls, clean, and stocked with blocks, bolsters, blankets, and other misc props. There's tea and couches in the main lounge area, and tables with books to browse. The teachers I've had so far have been wonderful- well educated, informative, helpful, kind. The atmosphere is welcoming, and non-judgmental. A wide variety of classes offered. Accomodations for poses and asanas are not only made, but encouraged for people who need them. Bathrooms and changing areas are clean and there are lockers with locks for your valuable items if needed.
You don't often seen a 5.0 average on google for a business, but that is exactly what Anna, her studio ,and team deserve. I've been with Moving Galaxy since the beginning and cannot recommend it highly enough.

The class variety is impressive, with everything from gentle flows to more dynamic practices like Animal Flow, which incorporates primal movement patterns that build strength and flexibility. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned yogi, you’ll find a class that speaks to your energy and goals. And there’s always tea! Nothing beats wrapping up a session with a warm, soothing cup, enhancing the studio’s nurturing atmosphere. I also love their mindfulness elements, including sound baths and meditation sessions, which leave you feeling grounded and rejuvenated. If you’re looking for a yoga studio that goes beyond just physical practice and embraces holistic well-being, Moving Galaxy Yoga Studio is a cosmic gem. Highly recommend!
