I showed her a photo of the Gel X nail design I wanted, and she matched it perfectly with precision and care. Awful! Getting my nails done years with generally no issues anywhere I go. I went in with no product on my nails as I was giving them a break for a few weeks. They were strong and had good length. I told the lady I had no product on my nails but she insisted on using 2 different drills until little bits of nail were coming up making them weak, brittle and sore. She cut all my nails despite me saying I wanted to keep the length. She added so much gel around the sides of my nails that they are wide and lumpy. I had to tell her that my nails are lumpy and uneven and just not okay. She started to file them again but still look awful. For reference, I've attached a photo of the usual shape of my nails (they weren't quite this long going in but still good length) and photos of my nails after the appointment. The lady was pleasant but this service is not good enough. Only for I had to catch a train I would have gotten her to remove it all again. I'll be getting them removed tomorrow when I get back home.
New review: I am here to edit my previous review as I was contacted by the manager at Nail Loft and was offered to have my mother’s and my manicure and pedicure redone for free. This time they did a great job and I am very happy with the job done. I appreciate them for being attentive and following up with me to make sure I was happy with the services I had previously paid for. I have uploaded a pic of the new manicure. Previous review: Worst pedicure and manicure ever! The first time I ever went to this place was in December and I got an alright job done for a powder manicure. I decided to give it another chance on August 8th 2 days before traveling out of the country. This time I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. I went with my mother and both of us had a horrible job done. The person that did mines you could tell right of the back that she was learning. She started with my hands and right in the middle of taking off my cuticles the manager I guess it was stopped her and told her she should had started with the feet. She then moved me to get my pedicure done and after doing my pedicure went back to my manicure and started all over taking my cuticles off when she had already done so and stated I had a lot of cuticles. She started way before they started with my mother and she finished way after they had finished my mother’s pedicure and manicure. Never going back to this place. I spent my money for a horrible job. Also, the nail polish on my hands started peeling 2 days after.
Absolutely loved my experience at The Nail Loft DC! I walked in without an appointment and Vivian helped me create the perfect ocean-inspired, futuristic Gel-X design. My nails are shiny, beautiful, and look extra special under the sun. She nailed the right length for me since I code a lot. Super friendly, fast, and professional service at a great price. I’ll definitely be back!
