What a gem to discover at the Rheu Co. in Durham. I had a very special sentimental sewing project of repairing an old pillow and some worn favorite jeans for my boyfriend. I left a voicemail and Jill was quick in responding and was so kind and pleasant to encourage to come in for a consultation. When we arrived in person, we were greeted very nicely and Jill was so nice and professional. She gave us options to work with our project and told us where to purchase the fabric for the repair. Not only did Jill give us an estimate to when our items would be ready, the turn around time was quick and prompt. The location and the facility was clean and cute. I highly recommend this service and we will be coming back for more business. Thanks Jill and team!
They do amazing work here! I had a couple dresses, one with somewhat complicated beadwork, that needed taking in and hemming. One dress was for an event with a pretty fast turnaround time - only two weeks, with a holiday in the middle. They were so accommodating! The owner Jill is extremely nice and answered all of my questions. I'll definitely come back in the future.
A long overdue review!! I have had several formal wear alterations done at the Rheu in the past year (5 dresses and 1 tuxedo). The dresses only needed hemming but they were not easy (imo) fabrics to work with. The Tuxedo needed the works and Jill did an amazing job. Jill is incredibly professional, kind, and easy to work with. Pricing is fair, and the quality of Jill’s work is top notch (turnaround time is fantastic as well). It’s great to have our person when it comes to getting things tailored!
I had a small clothing project I always wanted done with the patches I collected over the years, but didn't have the skills or resources.Jill had done a wonderful job making this a reality with her excellent work! The stitches are really well done and she worked with my vision on the placements. Each stitch was reasonably priced as well. She also had repaired a button on an overcoat that had come undone, and same great quality work there! All in all a great experience and would highly recommend her for any of your fabric and clothing projects or repairs!
