Eric at the Tax Group abandoned all of his clients. He was negligent we found out for our last year‘s taxes, and then this year did not get them done and then abandoned all of his clients. No one knows where he is.

As a long-standing client of The Tax Group, I wanted to share my thoughts on some of the negative reviews I’ve seen being posted about one of the independent tax partners in this office. I have worked closely with Sharon and Jane and have only heard very positive comments about Brett. I think it is important to know that each person is independent of the other in this office and any negative review/comments directed at one person is solely on the person the review is directed towards, and it should not be seen as a reflection of all the wonderful people at The Tax Group. When one partner sells their business to another person, one cannot foresee if the person purchasing their practice will maintain the same level of excellence as the prior owner. I encourage all to see the negative reviews for what they are, directed at one partner and one partner only.

I wish I could give Eric at the Tax Group less than 1 star. I have been using The Tax Group for over 20 years now, but the past 2 years may be my last. The tax filing deadline has come and gone with no words or updates on the status of my filing. I've called multiple times, but never a return call. I dropped my tax paperwork off in February and it is now almost the end of October. I have been patient, but now my patience has run out. Sharon, who's place he took after she retired was absolutely amazing. There may be other people in that office that are skilled at their jobs, but unfortunately I did not have the option to use anyone else there. Truly disappointed in the service from Eric and I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

DO NOT hire Eric! Wish I could give zero stars. Had taxes done here for 15years with a past CPA. She retired and we were assigned Eric. Received a letter it would be seamless transition. Other 1 star reviews reflect the same experience. We turned in documents in Jan. I started calling a month later wondering what the hold up was. Was told I'm at the top of the pile and would be done soon. Then he no longer accepted or returned calls. I had to communicate with other partners to finally get taxes done in JUNE. Then when I went to sign for them I was being charged twice as much than ever before. Why wasn't that included in the introduction letter?!? Was told each partner sets their own rates. When I asked to be reassigned, I was then told they won't take another partners clients. So now I'm looking for a new tax place since the partners aren't worried about Eric running their reputation into the ground.
