My daughter is bilingual and started school in the U.S. during kindergarten, joining in the middle of the school year. When she moved up to first grade, her first report card was below our expectations. To help her improve, we enrolled her in the Tutoring Center last October. She has been going twice a week for the past nine months without pausing. My husband and I have been thrilled to see how much she has improved academically. Even more, she loves going to the Tutoring Center. The environment is joyful, and the tutors make learning fun. Ms. Freda is incredible! She is always available and dedicated to her students. She ensured we had a make-up class if we missed a session. We also appreciate how she carefully checks that children are safely picked up by their parents. Although we are moving to another state, we will always treasure our time at the Tutoring Center in Columbus and hope to return one day.
I brought my daughter in for the initial assessment on April 29th after researching other centers. She has been in tutoring for math 3 days per week since then. So far, our family is impressed. Everyone has made us feel welcome and has ensured that all our questions are answered. My daughter loves going to tutoring (especially since the students earn items from their mini store). I chose this center based on the 1 to 1 approach instead of small group tutoring that the competitors use. I will update again after my daughter has finished 20 sessions (we will receive a progress report) and again at 40 sessions (daughter will be re-assessed). I highly recommend this center. **Update: After coming here for three sessions per week for 3 1/2 months, my daughter has gained one full grade level in math.
I am so pleased with the Tutoring center at Upper Arlington. My son joined it a year ago, during the pandemic. He was a first grader then, and he was not able to read a 2 letter word like “to”. Now he is reading books and his last STAR assessment at school, showed he is ready for grade 3 reading ( he just started grade 2 at school) !! I am amazed at his capability of reading big words now without any help!! Seriously it’s like night and day for us and it deserves every penny and more! Freda is great and easy to work with, has always been easy to switch sessions if needed. Also a plus is that Kroger is just beside the center, so I get my grocery shopping during my son’s tutoring session! I can’t say enough about this place! I recommend it 200%
The Tutoring Center ha sido de gran ayuda en nuestro recorrido educativo. Tanto Gail, la dueña de la franquicia, como Freda, la directora del centro, son muy diligentes. El personal es de primera clase, muy atento y paciente. El entorno está estructurado, organizado y predecible, lo que facilita que los estudiantes se concentren en su trabajo. Con su sistema de Individual Direct Instruction y The Rotational Approach to Learning, tu estudiante definitivamente sobresaldrá.
Excelente lugar, gran personal. Todos aquí son atentos y pacientes. Nuestra hija todavía está emocionada de ir, incluso después de cuatro meses yendo tres días a la semana. Sus habilidades de lectura han mejorado drásticamente. Sus habilidades de pensamiento crítico y matemáticas también han mejorado. Recomendamos mucho el centro de tutoría a amigos y familiares,....a extraños también!
