The UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall es un recinto de conciertos compacto en Berkeley, ubicado en 2036 University Ave, conocido por su sonido excepcional y por un personal amable. Nice smaller venue. Standing room in the front, then there are tiers. You can sit on the next tier and on the sides (the ticket cost more). I liked that are ample restroom stalls and there is barely a wait. Finding parking around the area was a little challenging.

Absolutely awful experience. Overcrowded and uncomfortable. Loud, belligerent drunk people were discussing the show throughout. Could not see the band at nearly any point of the show. A total waste of money. This venue is pure garbage and should be avoided by any artists serious about having their work heard.

Great venue, nice staff, convenient location with easy parking nearby and lots of restaurants to grab food before a show. Plenty of bar space inside as well for grabbing drinks.

This is easily one of my favorite venues. The sound is always superb. The staff is nice and helpful. Everything is easy to access. The coat check, merch, and bathrooms are all in the same area just outside the theater inside. It gets packed quickly in between sets and especially afterwards, so plan your merch purchases accordingly if you want to avoid that. The area in front of the stage has a wall behind it, a bar on the right, and a wheelchair access on the left so you kinda get boxed in. A sold out show leaves little room for moshing, but creates a great place to crowd surf so, heads up! The view from the 2nd level behind GA is outstanding and still pretty close to the stage. Not sure if they serve food. There are grease vendors outside on the street. BE SURE TO USE A PARKING GARAGE (NOT A PARKING LOT) OR YOUR CAR WILL GET BROKEN INTO

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This is such a good venue, and will always have a special spot in my heart because I saw my first live show in it. It was actually closed for the longest time, closing in 2001 and returning in 2016 thanks to the Berkeley Music Group, a nonprofit organization who also runs intetnship programs. Just for that alone, I think you should come here. The only thing i dislike about the venue is the seating can be a little uncomfortable, and it's definitely limited. It's available based on first-come basis, though I think you can reserve the first row on some shows; can't imagine that's cheap. So unless you're lucky or super early, be ready to stand up. The food and drinks are also expensive, as expected of most live venues. Those things aside, the shows themselves are extremely enjoyable, and the staff running them are friendly as heck. Highly recommended!
