The staff are tremendously friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. No wine snobbery here - just really great selection across a range of price points matched with knowledgeable service. Highly recommended.
I’ve been coming to The Wine Cellar near Glenora for years. My usual routine is walking in, giving them a price point, and saying something like, “I need simething French — my friend only drinks French,” or, “My brother and his wife only drink BC wines, but let’s impress them with something different at this budget.” Every time, they deliver exactly what I need. Today it was a corporate gift for $50. I even shared the story of a gentleman in Calgary who couldn’t ship wine to his client here, so I picked it up on his behalf — and The Wine Cellar handled it beautifully. They’ve got an excellent selection, high-end and across the board. Truly one of the best in the city. This is my go-to location, and it will continue to be.
Someone recommended this wine shop to me and my husband. I stopped by mid-April to see what they had for champagne. The lady who was working was friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I actually learned something about pairing champagne with food. Best customer service experience I've had in a long time. I really enjoyed my short visit and left with a champagne to celebrate my and my husband's 10th anniversary. I am looking forward to visiting again.

This establishment caters to those who truly love wine and those who wish to try something new. A huge section dedicated to French wines one will be overwhelmed by the selection as well as the knowledge of staff. This is a place to learn about great wines that are not found in the liquor store or your local “ liquor depot”. Wine embodies such a romantic feel that it must have a story to go with.
