I've been taking piano lessons here for 3 months and am extremely pleased with my instructor Yvette and the pace of my lessons. As an adult returning to lessons after several years without even a piano, let alone an instructor I was nervous, but excited. Yvette put me immediately at ease. We started with a piece I already "knew" and took it completely apart and put it back together again while working on improving my technique, and correcting old habits. I started lessons with concrete goals, and she has been wonderful at helping me improve my skills and learn new ones.. The lesson time flies by and I can see the improvement every time I practice. I can highly recommend both the school and Yvette.
I started taking piano lessons at Toedtman 2 years ago. Mr. Toedtman connected me with Ken Gottlieb who is a teacher there for piano lessons. I had previously taken piano lessons decades ago as a child and developed poor technique and bad habits and never practiced. Ken has been amazing. He did not immediately try to change everything that was wrong with my techniques. He patiently worked with me and slowly corrected techniques that impacted my playing and the transformation has been unbelievable. My goal was to make music and that is what we do every week. He is flexible with hours working around my ever changing work schedule. At the recitals I have watched as the young kids and teenagers he teaches have improved by leaps and bounds. If you are an adult or child looking to start piano or pick it back up I highly recommend Ken and the Toedtman School of Music.
Both of my kids started to take piano lessons with Mr. Toedtman after their previous teacher moved out of town. It has been a really pleasant several years of learning. Mr. Toedtman is kind, patient, and great teacher. My kids have learned so much from him and we really appreciate the experience and tie spent with Mr. Toedtman.
Our experience at the Toedtman school has been excellent! My daughter has been taking lessons on double bass and bass guitar with John for over four years and will likely continue with him for many more. The teachers are very professional and make learning there a real pleasure, and the environment is comfortable for waiting parents as well.
My son’s 6th grade teacher recommended John Toedtman for learning electric bass. We were very pleased with his John’s professionalism and ability to relate to my son. We also changed his tuba instructor to another teacher, Mike Wade, at this school as well. Highly recommend both of them.
