Took 2 dogs there for 6 night and picked them up and all was well. It did smell bad though

This is the AB-SO-LUTE worst, I mean WORST dog boarding place I have EVER been to. We trusted trudes to take adequate care of our dog, at least bare minimum let our dog out to potty. He was there several days, when we picked him up, he AND his dog bed, blankets, bag and toys were SOAKED in dog urine. They didn't say one word about it as they handed it to me DRIPPING pee. It was so disgusting and sad how terrible they treated our dog. Our neighbors had the same experience but 10 times worse, when they picked their dogs up, they had to go immediately to an emergency vet because their dog was almost dead when they picked him up. I would NEVER come here again and I want everyone I know to stay away.

We left our 10-year-old bulldog there for a two-night stay, and when we picked him up, we were horrified to find his entire underbody soaked and smelling strongly of urine. It was clear that his area hadn’t been cleaned properly, and it seemed he had to sit or lay in his own pee for at least a night. When we brought this up with the staff, they were not apologetic and offered no explanation as to how this could happen. This lack of accountability is alarming, especially when it comes to the care of our beloved pets. I’ve since tried to reach out via email and even called Polaris Veterinary Clinic to speak with the owners, but I’ve received no response. This level of neglect is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend Trude's Dog Motel based on our experience. Please think twice before leaving your furry friends here.

My dogs do not like being kenneled. However, Trude's is the only place I've found in Lincoln that they will settle into a routing, eat, and not be overly stressed. The rooms are large enough for both my dogs (German Shepherd & Doberman) to share. The staff takes extra care to help my dogs feel comfortable by spending time with them. There is a nice large yard area for them to run and play in as well. The rooms are indoor/outdoor and heated or cooled depending on the weather.

Tried this as the reviews generally looked good, but... I had my dog stay for 3 nights. On pickup he seemed reasonably happy (not lethargic, not overly yappy, just normal happy to see me) There were no visible issues, I've had him stay at other places before where he pawed at the door until his paws had some scratches, but not here. He does seem reasonably tired, as in he probably didn't sleep that much there, but that's also normal for him being away from me. The thing that bugs me is the day I picked him up, he went to pee right when we went outside, and he peed for about 3 mins, some of it was a tinkle, and some a stream, but just the amount of time he did that seemed extremely long, and it also seemed uncomfortable (the tinkle parts in between), he never had that issue before. Additionally, after we drove to the office, he took a huge dump (he's a big dog, and I needed 2 bags to get it all), which also took a long time... So, with that behavior, I have to conclude that he probably didn't get to poop yesterday, so for around 24h (normal is about 2-3 times a day), and he didn't get to pee for more than 12h (he is fine holding it for a long time, but there are limits), which then makes me question what the last time was he got to go for a walk... regardless that time must have been too long ago. There was another review talking about the same thing. I will add, that if your dog is fine doing it's business within their confined space, this may be a non issue, but for my dog that's not an option. Long story short, because of the lack of potty opportunities, this kennel will sadly be at the bottom of my list for future trips.
