I joined roughly over 2 months ago. Joining has changed my mentality about fitness tremendously. Joining this specific location has motivated me to strive for more. The atmosphere itself is incredibly energizing and I never feel like i am not welcomed there. All the equipment is brand new and well maintained, not to forget how clean it is as well which is truly appreciated. It definitely feels like a united and supportive community here, which encourages me to come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a positive change, not just in fitness but in life. Was recommended by Celeste who is very friendly and truly appreciated.
I had such a great experience at TruFit thanks to Anabelle! She was incredibly informative and took the time to explain everything thoroughly, which made getting started so easy and comfortable. Her customer service is outstanding—fun, upbeat, and still totally professional. It’s clear she truly enjoys what she does, and it makes a big difference. The gym itself is fantastic as well. The equipment is top-notch, well-maintained, and always clean, which I really appreciate. Overall, Anabelle and the environment at TruFit make it an amazing place to work out. Highly recommend!
Free weights, weight plates, consistently placed anywhere but where they should be. Paper roll dispensers consistently empty. Men’s restroom is hit or miss, trash cans overflowing, usually smells like a barn. Edit: another gym goer just asked me for the gym WiFi password. I didn’t know there was WiFi or a password. Neither did the staff when she asked them apparently. Y’all? 😭
I love my gym! Always clean. Thank you Alyssa @ the front desk for always being so welcoming!!! Sam and Celeste in the child care definitely know how to keep the kids entertained and I am able to focus on my mental and handle business on the gym floor! 💪🏽 💫 thanks again! 🙏🏽
2320 Frontage Rd #77/83, Brownsville, TX 78521 (Sunrise Mall) This Gym Is a Complete Joke — Dirty, Disorganized, and Clearly No One Cares Let me save you the time and money: don’t bother joining this trainwreck of a gym. Walk in and you’re instantly hit with chaos — weights scattered everywhere, machines half-working (if that), and absolutely zero signs to let you know what’s broken. It’s like management just gave up. You’ll spend more time searching for equipment or trying to figure out what works than actually working out. And the staff? Useless. Completely disconnected from reality. They’re either hiding behind the desk or glued to their phones like it’s a damn social media convention. They’re not cleaning, not organizing, not checking on anything — basically just standing around while the place falls apart around them. If these employees are supposed to represent the gym, then the message is clear: this place is run on the cheapest labor possible with no standards, no training, and no accountability. You pay them minimum wage, give them zero leadership, and then act surprised when the gym looks like a landfill? That’s on you, management. The locker rooms? Gross. The gym floor? Hazardous. The vibe? Straight-up depressing. This isn’t a gym — it’s a mess with equipment in it. Unless ownership makes some serious changes — pay staff better, train them, enforce rules, CLEAN the damn place — this place will keep going downhill. Fast. Embarrassing facility. Embarrassing leadership. Don’t waste your time.
