We feel so lucky to have found Richard. He refinished a vintage danish teak dining table for us that we purchased off of Facebook marketplace in pretty much horrible shape. Richard gave us a very reasonable price and restored the table to brand new condition in one week! The bonus is Richard is a joy to chat with. We will definitely use Richard again in the future and highly recommend his work!
What a pleasant experience I had in working with Richard & James. My request was for a small trellis that required specialty woodworking. Several other facilities turned me down but there was no hesitation on Richard’s acceptance. The work they did was exquisite & beautiful. My request was for my grandmother & it was to replace the trellis she used for more than 20 years. She wanted it to match the one that broke and her wish came through thanks to Richard & James. They truly love working with wood and it shows on my project and others they had in their shop.
Found Richards shop via a internet search to repair a large dresser that has been in the family for over a 100 years and that we currently had in storage in St Pete. I called Richard and he said to send some pictures of what I wanted repaired and he could give me a an estimate from the pictures until he sees the dresser. So we sent him a bunch of detailed pictures. He gave us a very reasonable estimate to repair, but being a woodworker myself I wanted to see his shop and talk face to face in more detail about the repairs. Being very satisfied with the shop and details I trailered the dresser to his shop for repair. He looked it over and increased his bid by $40 bucks to finish it in a few weeks. Richard had it done in 10 days and it looked absolutely stunning when I picked it up. I wish I would have taken pictures of it before we wrapped it up in moving blankets and cellophane wrap to put back into storage until we move. I would highly recommend Richards shop for repairs. The 2 pictures I included where from what it looked like before repairs.
I simply cannot say enough about the quality of Richard's work. I needed my dining room table completely refinished and some minor work on the legs. In a word, the work Richard completed was perfect. This table has been in the family a long time, and is a beautifully handmade table by a master woodworker in Massachusetts where we had previously lived. I trusted this table in Richard's hands based on other reviews posted here - I wanted to add my thoughts to share the very positive experience I had. Perhaps most importantly, Richard is a genuinely kind person, and one that I will gladly recommend to anyone needing woodworking services.
Richard Edgeworth at Twigtree Woodworking and his team of woodworkers are incredible. They are not only able to restore antiques in an expedient manner, but they are able to fabricate pieces as well. I recently had a need for Richard to manufacture bases for (2) Skandia Co. barrister bookcases built in 1906. Richard was able to work with an existing glass-faced stack and create something almost identical to that period. Once the bases were created, he and his team then cleaned up, waxed and made the stacks perform in working order, once again. My wife and I will DEFINITELY patronize Twigtree Woodworking in the near future!
