Great experience from start to finish. Brian is very knowledgeable about roofing and answered all our questions right away. The quote was straight forward and the work was performed on time and our roof looks super. No games or hidden costs. The roofing crew was very professional, courteous, and cleaned up afterwards to perfection. I would hire Twin Cities Contracting again and highly recommend them to others for roofing services Anna and Dean.
I surveyed five roofing companies for my home project and Brian at Twin Cities Contracting blew everyone away. He was the only one I felt was giving me real unbiased advice and actually cared about doing a good job rather than just generating revenue. He was openly telling me not to do certain things because it was a waste of money and was proving examples of why certain things weren't needed when all the other companies were just pitching add-ons with no rationale as to why. Brian was literally talking himself out of extra money to help me out and ensure I didn't overspend on things he didn't think were needed. Of the things he did think were needed he explained why he would recommend them and what they did for the roof. He also had the most competitive bid. The next time I need to roof a house Brian will be my first call. Brian is a 3rd generation owner and this is a family business for them, definitely give these guys a shot, you will not be disappointed.
Because of its age (1870), our home was a large and complicated project that required special attention to conditions that deviate from standard new installations. We ended up talking to five different companies before choosing Twin Cities Contracting. Unlike several others, Brian didn't bring glossy merchandising or fancy-named packages. He just offered a fair no-nonsense quote for a high quality product. While others said "we'll have to see what the code official says", leaving the door open to potential large swings in cost, Brian went and talked to the code official (before we even had an agreement) and got all the answers he needed to solidify his quote. While a couple other companies had quotes for the roofing in a similar range (and two others were exponentially higher!), Brian's approach stood out in that he made it clear he wasn't looking for ways to charge us more later. A big difference is how Brian approaches pricing for any possible re-decking that may be needed after tear off. Brian does that at cost, minimizing risk for large cost swings once the project is signed. Others seem to see this as an opportunity to pad their profits, quoting higher rates per sheet, and in some cases also saying "plus labor". Brian is also a very proactive communicator, which made the process very transparent. Brian only works with his own crews, and we couldn't have been happier with the crew that we got. Ismael and his crew (mostly family) were amazing. Hard to imagine a crew that works this diligently, putting in long day after long day of work (did they even take breaks?!), each day leaving the property seemingly cleaner that we had it in the first place. They were very friendly and pleasant to have around, which is a big deal for a multi-day project like our house. I'd probably try to get this crew back if I ever had another roofing job in the future. The project came out great. In the end, we are confident we chose the right contractor, and speaking to a few others gave us enough perspective to know that there are some others out there that would be happy to take more of your money without providing the same level of service.
We had a great experience with Twin Cities Contracting Services. The roof replacement went text book, from our discussion with Brian to the installation of the new roof on the house and shed. Brian kept us informed during the entire process. The installation crew were experienced and efficient and they cleaned up our yard and the neighbors area where nails may have fallen. Roofing companies are a dime a dozen and fancy web sites do not put that roof on your home. This was a 5 star experience for us, our neighbors even stated how professional the process was.
