Joining Underground Jiu Jitsu has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From my very first trial class back in August, I had no idea how much this place was about to change my life - not just on the mats, but outside of them too. Diego, the owner, leads this school with the perfect mix of high standards, real mentorship, and genuine care. His guidance has helped me build more purpose, strength, confidence, and clarity in my life, and I’m truly grateful to be learning under him. And Pedro is an absolute phenomenal coach- patient, knowledgeable, and the kind of instructor who can break things down in a way that makes you better every single class. I especially love the noon classes he teaches: they’re fun, challenging, and you leave feeling like you leveled up. The culture here is what sets it apart: you’ll get pushed to grow, but you’ll also feel supported every step of the way. I recently moved to the area and was looking to get a few rolls in, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Underground Jujitsu Academy. Coach Diego was incredibly welcoming from the moment I stepped in—he genuinely enjoys rolling and engaging with everyone, which creates a fantastic atmosphere. The academy is excellent for all levels, offering plenty of space and great vibes all around. Coach Pedro also contributes to making this place feel like a true community. I’m glad to be a part of the Underground family!
I was on the hunt for a new gym that was close by to me for better consistent training. So I came here to try out and Diego & Sydney were super welcoming. The vibe of the whole gym was A1 right off the bat so I knew this was where I wanted to be. Been training here with my daughter since April and have been enjoying every bit of it. Diego is a dope professor! The gym is also always clean and tidy. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to train and progress.
I’ve visited Underground Jiu-Jitsu three times for their Saturday open mats, and I plan on going back soon. Everyone there is really nice. Professor Diego is generous with his wealth of knowledge from the moment you meet him. If you’re looking for a home BJJ gym or just to get a few rolls in on a Saturday, this is a good place to be.
First and Foremost Coach Diego is an awesome instructor. I booked this place for a self defense course for my company and they all had tons of fun and learned a lot. Coach Diego and Coach Pedro are very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful when teaching larger groups. Outside of the self defense the academy is incredible, so much mat space and very clean and just an awesome BJJ Studio. When I travel back to Dallas I will be 100% training there again. If you’re new or been training for a while you’ll find the atmosphere awesome and the training great. Keep up the good work Coach Diego and Coach Pedro, see y’all soon!
