We recently completed a massive front and backyard renovation with United Turf and Pavers (UTP), and the results are a total showstopper. Our project involved a complete overhaul: extensive paver stone pads, synthetic turf, a retaining wall, and a custom staircase leading to our front door. The Planning Phase: As a self-described "Type A" person with a very strong attention to detail, I had high expectations. We met with 4-5 different contractors, and quotes varied wildly. My best advice is to have your design and materials ready so you can compare "apples to apples." UTP won us over because their quote was transparent, lacked hidden markups, and wasn't prorated. Alex, our project manager, was incredibly punctual and reassuring, answering every "picky" question I had with total professionalism. The Execution (The Vicente Crew): Vicente and his crew were the backbone of this project. They worked tirelessly from 8 AM to 5 PM, maintaining a consistent crew throughout. Their work ethic was unmatched—they even worked through rainy days and weekends to ensure certain phases were finished so we wouldn't suffer water damage. Because I have a high attention to detail, I requested several minor corrections as we went; Vicente and his team handled every single request immediately before moving on to the next phase. The Results: The craftsmanship is top-tier. The Staircase: A true showstopper that has completely elevated our home’s curb appeal. The Hardscape: We used Angelus Courtyard stones in a random ashlar pattern, and the precision is perfect. The Lighting: We added a lighting package that truly gives the project a professional, "expensive" edge. By day, it is a peaceful family retreat; by night, the lighting makes the entire property glow. It’s an inviting, high-end space that we are proud of. Final Thoughts: UTP quoted us a four-week completion timeline and they met it exactly, despite weather challenges. Communication via text between Alex, Vicente, and myself was seamless (and it gave me a great chance to practice my Spanish!). My neighbors have stated that they have yard envy which just made the whole stress of it all well worth it! They were timely about response and communication, worked with me in delaying the project until we were ready, and did an excellent job laying the turf and putting up the fence. Everything turned out very nicely. After the fact they came out a couple times to touch things up. Great experience. Definitely someone I would recommend!
