Fantastic experience. Came in just before closing today to get a pair of running shoes as a total beginner, and the man who helped me (I didn’t catch his name unfortunately) couldn’t have been more helpful. I had my gait analysed and he suggested several options within my budget (especially with a 10% NHS discount!). In the end I went with a pair he recommended, I tested them tonight and running in them is like a dream! Expert, friendly service, will be recommending to friends and returning if I need anything else. Thank you :)
I am new to running and have finally decided to commit to a proper pair of running shoes - I came here today to get some help finding the right pair of shoes and had an outstanding service! I was served by Zara, and she was super helpful running a gait analysis for me and also answering many of my hundreds of questions. She also let me try on a range of shoes, and I felt comfortable and looked after throughout the whole experience - without feeling pressured to buy anything. Can't recommend this place enough! Thank you!
Great service. Went in yesterday (12/07/2025) and was assisted by Jamie (tall with baseball cap). Ran me through the Gait analysis process and then advised me on several pairs of running shoes which would be suitable, which I tried until I found a pair that fit best. Got them at a reasonable price and even a little cheaper, as they accepted Blue Light Card for an additional 10% off. No pushy selling or pressure to buy - just gently enquired if I required any additional gear and then left me to browse and decide after the gait analysis. Other member of staff there also pleasant and helpful, and Jamie (another Jamie) was very pleasant when I went in a little while back to browse whilst I was in the area. Will be back if I require any other running gear and would highly recommend. Many thanks!
100% will come back again for any running/sports needs. I spoke to Jamie on the phone who explained the gait analysis process and was assisted by Alfie in store. Alfie was so helpful, he did my gait analysis, advised on what shoes would help me the most, brought out a variety to try and gave me tonnes of advice on what to look for in deciding on what shoe. Felt like I was in very capable hands and just left with my first pair of running shoes. Really great friendly guys, I couldn't recommend enough.
I recently visited Up & Running in Birmingham to get a running analysis and find the perfect pair of running trainers. The experience was fantastic! Jamie, the shop assistant, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Despite the store getting busy, he managed to balance helping multiple customers with ease and professionalism. Jamie’s dedication and hard work truly deserve recognition. The running analysis was thorough, and Jamie provided excellent recommendations based on my gait and running style. To top it off, the trainers I purchased were cheaper than anywhere online. I highly recommend Up & Running in Birmingham for their exceptional service and great prices!
