Wonderful concept in a great space. The lower level has arcade games, a bowling alley, bar, and restaurant. While the upstairs is set up perfectly for adults with more bowling lanes, pool tables, a bar, dining area, and a stage for live performances. The food was okay; however, it was served cold. There is plenty of parking available as well as handicap parking and accessibilty.
We bowled and used the arcade while waiting for a lane. The facility itself is fine. It could be cleaner, but that’s fairly typical for bowling alleys and not what drove this rating. The issue is the staff and the complete lack of customer service. The front desk was openly disengaged — scrolling on phones, socializing with each other, and acting irritated when customers approached with basic questions. Interactions felt rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, as if paying customers were an inconvenience. This wasn’t limited to one employee. Every staff member I encountered gave off the same impression: unhappy, uninterested, and eager to be left alone. There was no sense of ownership, accountability, or even basic courtesy. That’s a leadership problem, not just a staffing one. People have choices about where they spend their money, and service is a major factor in whether they return or recommend a place. Management needs to be more visible, set clear expectations, and actively coach and correct behavior. Daily hiddles, basic customer service standards, and actual supervision would go a long way. If you go in expecting poor service, you may manage your expectations. But until the staff experience is addressed, this isn’t a place I’d recommend or rush back to.
Very good acoustic sound system, the band sounded great. The bar area looked nice and classy, the couches and chairs around the stage were comfortable, the outside patio seemed popular. Bartenders were friendly and prompt with serving. Definitely will return again.
We had a mixed experience at Uptown Alley. We ordered food and drinks and only received one drink initially, then had to wait about 20 minutes just to get a Dr Pepper. Our friends received their food well before us, and we ended up waiting another 20 or so minutes for our meals to come out. Bowling itself was fun, but the arcade was pretty disappointing—almost all of the games were down or broken, which took away from the overall experience. There’s definitely potential here, but better service timing and maintaining the arcade games would make a big difference.
I would recommend this place for having a fun time playing the various arcade games they have there, bowling with friends or family, enjoying a cocktail or a beer while your kids play, or even spending the whole day and eating there. They have a simple but adequate menu for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The space is large enough with ample parking availability. Regarding the food and drinks, in my case, I tried the piña colada and a Martini pineapple Upside-Down , which were good. However, I wouldn't highly recommend the Caesar salad; it could be better. On the other hand, the Boom Boom shrimp appetizer is delicious and has a light, spicy kick and I recommend the Chopped Cobb salad because it has protein, in this case chicken and bacon, egg, as well as vegetables. And you can have it with any dressing available. The prices I paid were at full price, without any discounts or promotions. It could be more economical if you go on a day with specials promos during the week. The attention and service were a bit slow due to the waiting times; you need to be patient. I waited over 30 minutes to receive my food order, as well as the appetizer and the drink to go with my meal.
