I was very disappointed with the service provided by Knowles VCA. It is definitely not the animal hospital/vet that it used to be years ago. I took my puppy for emergency visit because she had an acute shoulder injury. Paid a lot of $ for consult, tests, X-rays, etc. Luckily, no fracture, but was only sent home with only pain med, no anti-inflammatory meds. She wasn’t getting better, so I called the office back the next day and called THREE times over two days to ask the Dr to possibly send other meds. Was told by Sam(reception)that the vet would call me back, called again was told another vet would call back, on the third call second day was told medical director was going to call me back AND NOTHING. They were quick to charge, but horrible on any follow up. They truly do not show that they care for the patients they treat. I ended up having to go to my usual vet to be told to stop the treatment Knowles VCA gave and start her on anti-inflammatory meds and she immediately started getting better within a few hours. Knowles VCA should be ashamed of the service they are providing from the reception all the way to the Drs.
The doctors treated my baby King like he was their cat. during the exam, he was very nervous and the super sweet nurse kept petting him on his head (his favorite) & made him feel so much more comfortable. They also called back to make sure that King is doing better now, I would definitely come back if anything ever happened to my baby again. their slogan on the phone is "VCA where we treat pets like family" and it is sooo true. So happy I decided to come here!
I took my Lucy “Cisi” to get spayed and then boarded as I had a trip I couldn’t change. They treated her like family, they spoiled her, they updated me a picture and small video which made me feel so relieved. I have a shih tzu, they are known for being picky eaters, all the techs took their time with her, but Samantha was so great with her she hand feed Cisi to get her to eat. My did visit her fur grand baby and told me they were treating her great. Even when there was a small issue with paperwork/ finances they resolved them quickly and no major fuss. Yes they are not cheap, but when it comes to your pet which is a child/part of your family you can’t go cheap; you have to go to the best, all the vets are great Dr. Wise is just amazing. The staff, I could go on forever. I will continue to bring my pets to them. Thank you Knowles, the pictures below are of her a few hours after surgery, the picture they sent me 2 days after and of her home 4 days after surgery.
My beautiful dog, Luna, was violently attacked by a pitbull on February 2nd. I took her to VCA on 27th Avenue where Dr. Elizalde was the physician on duty. As you can imagine, I was a complete mess and they took her right in. Dr. Elizalde and her team that night (I wish I remembered everyone’s name but I was so distraught) took Luna, assessed her serious injuries, and took her right into surgery. She was absolutely lovely and called me after the surgery was done to ease my mind with telling me she was going to be fine. When I picked Luna up she had several drains placed and they explained in detail everything I had to do to make sure she did not get an infection and speed up the healing process. And I did exactly what they told Me to do. With the antibiotics and with their instructions, Luna made a complete Recovery. Dr. G and Gloria took care of her doing the follow-up appointments and every single person in that clinic was amazing and so kind. Everyone on the team on February 2, when I brought Luna in should absolutely gain recognition for the way that they treated us for the way that they took care of Luna and for the way that they kept me calm I was in great distress. Melanie and Sofia are one of the front desk professionals That also answered questions for me, and I’m just so grateful for the team there for taking care of my dog who is my family And absolutely the greatest thing in my life. Thank you so much. May God bless all of you and I highly recommend this place if you ever find yourself in an emergency situation with your animal ❤️
I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Wise and the entire staff at VCA Knowles Central! My baby girl needed surgery on her leg so my regular vet recommended Dr. Wise because of his many years of experience in orthopedic surgeries. As with any new vet clinic, there’s always a fear that they may not meet expectations but in this case, they far exceeded them. The entire staff from the front desk to the vet techs and the ladies at checkout were truly amazing, I could tell that they all genuinely cared about every animal that walked through their doors including my little angel, Luna. It’s been just over 2 weeks since the surgery and she’s been healing like a champ, her sutures were removed yesterday and another xray taken which showed that everything was on track for her to heal to almost 100%. Thank you Dr. Wise and everyone at VCA Knowles Central, you are all so wonderful!!!
