I know this place has mixed reviews, but I can only speak from my experience, and it was a good one. I came in scared and stressed because my dog was sick, and the staff showed real care and compassion for my baby. They treated her with kindness, explained things clearly, and worked with me to make the visit as affordable as possible, which meant more to me than they know. Emergency clinics are not cheap, but emergency clinics can save your pet’s life. That’s the reality. And in a moment when you’re overwhelmed, having a team that actually cares makes all the difference. Dr. Haller was amazing, patient, thorough, and genuinely compassionate. I never felt rushed or dismissed, and my dog was treated like more than “just another case.” Thankful for the care we received and for a team that showed empathy during a stressful time. I would absolutely recommend them if you ever find yourself needing emergency care for your fur baby.
Took my senior dog “Leo” in for a well check and for a tumor on his paw. Lindsey was our tech and she was great with Leo and made him feel at ease before the doctor arrived. Doctor Autumn Fernald was also amazing and did an assessment and discussed options for his tumor. Fees and services were discussed upfront and everything was very professional and quality. I felt all the staff were caring/knowledgeable and the facility was very nice and well maintained. Definitely recommend.
I went to 2 other clinics before I went here for my 8 week old shih tzu. The other 2 clinics were appointment only and I was in dire need for a vet. It was an emergency my puppy was lethargic. My 4 year old daughter snuck into her play pen and was squeezing our puppy cuddling her by her neck. So I rushed her into VCA and they were quick to help. They took her to triage and I waited for about 15 mins before they called me into the back. The nurse came in I told her what happened. I understand the judgement about letting children play with puppies but like I said she snuck into the play pen. Then the vet (Ms. Garcia) comes in and tells me I have 3 options. 1.) you can send her to the hospital which is pretty costly. 2.) we can euthanize her. 3.) you can take her home. As Ms. Garcia was telling me this she hands me a tissue box and deeply encourages me to euthanize my puppy. Of course I chose to take her home because her neck wasn’t broken she was just acting lethargic. The vet leaves and comes back in and says we have a 4th option, you can forfeit all your rights we give her to another lady for 24 hours and if the puppy survives the lady keeps her. I was flabbergasted. I told her I’ll just take her home please bring me my dog. She brings me Stella and I proceeded to checkout. They charged me $250 for the visit. Please see attached photos. My puppy is doing fantastic she just needed rest. She was back to herself that day. It’s been a week later and she’s still doing great. Could you imagine if I took Dr. Garcia’s advice and euthanized her?! I basically paid $250 for them to tell me there is nothing we can do other than euthanize her or you give her up. I don’t recommend VCA and I will not be going back.
The experience of losing a family pet is the worst feeling. My 14 yr old sweet baby boy cat unfortunately went to kitty heaven Saturday. He was in heart failure. It happened fast without a warning. He’s been a healthy cat all of his kitty life. We brought him to OSO and Dr Haller did a wonderful job helping him pass over with his family surrounding him. We deeply miss our boy, but I am also thankful for OSO being so understanding and caring. Dr Haller was with us the whole time explaining each step. I highly recommend Dr Halley for helping family’s transition fur babys over the rainbow. Thank you again Dr Haller.
I can’t thank the team at VCA Animal Hospital enough. We had to bring my dog in on an emergency visit at 3 AM, and they were quick, professional, and so caring through such a stressful situation. They explained everything clearly and went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable. Later that same day, when we had to come back for additional care, they were just as patient and compassionate. Dr. Haller and Dr. Chen were both wonderful, knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely invested in helping. I felt reassured knowing my baby was in good hands.
