Today is my Mom’s birthday, and we wanted to honor our memories of her love of Lobster Bisque Birthday Lunches. Unable to dine in at a restaurant due to work obligations, we decided to order lobster bisque from Ventano, which we had heard was a great local Italian restaurant. The photo on Uber Eats looks fantastic and states that the soup comes in a sourdough bread bowl. The delivery took a very long time because the driver “had another stop along the way,” which is extremely frustrating when one is paying a hefty premium for the delivery with all the fees and the tip on top of the already overpriced food. When the soup arrived, the bag was wide open, making it a potential food safety issue. Additionally, the soup was cold, and the container was not even full, and there was one lonely token piece of lobster. There were no sourdough bread bowls. There were only two wimpy breadsticks in the bag. The lobster bisque miserably failed expectations and looked nothing like the photo. Between the gross misrepresentation of the food, the potential for the driver to tamper with the food, the lengthy delivery time, and the price tag of over $50 for two cups of overly seasoned cold fish water which left a horrible aftertaste and a disappointing bday celebration, we are crossing Ventano off our list of local restaurants to support due to serving overly priced, low quality food that tastes like it came from a food court at the mall. Sorry, Mom. We tried. I hope they have better lobster bisque in heaven.
Went for our anniversary and had stomach issues for 2 days afterwards. I have never been to a Italian restaurant that put that much garlic on their dishes. The service was outstanding but the chef had a heavy garlic hand that night.
There were not too many people at dinner time. We ordered the egg plant parmesan, steak and salmon. All were not good. The ambience was fine but definitely not worth the price.
It is hard to find places with large portion sizes with food that actually tastes good too. Ventano delivers on both those aspects. Fresh bread, stuffed mushrooms, veal parmigiana with substituted alfredo and cannoli for dessert. Absolutely no complaints. All very well done all around. Will be back.
I used the banquet room for my daughter’s bridal shower and the process was seamless. Mike was wonderful to work with and allowed us to bring our vision to life. The communication was spot on, the space was perfect. Everyone raved about the food from appetizers to dessert it was a hit. We were allowed to bring in a custom bar menu which all the girls loved and the bartender did a phenomenal job. Service was great, quick but not rushed which was appreciated. I will definitely use Ventanos for future events.
