Everyone from the front desk staff, to the technician, to the doctor was so kind and did an amazing job at calming my anxious kitty for her appointment. This was my first time visiting this clinic and I had a 10/10 experience! I would definitely recommend bringing your pets here for help. Thank you for such a great experience!
Had my first appointment being new to Chicago with my chihuahua mix Axel. He's had some vet fear in the past and I was a little concerned about getting his booster shots specifically. Dr Saul and Vet Tech Aby were AWESOME! I was very impressed with how much time they spent with my dog and I, and we worked together as a team to distract my pup in a positive way prior to and during the exam and injections. The approach of "fear free care" is accurate. Would recommend!
Dr. Winson was absolutely incredible with our cat, Sadie, when we brought her in on suspicion of her getting into some lillies that could've been lethal to her. Dr. Winson was incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate with us. She patiently explained everything that she was analyzing on Sadie's bloodwork and panels and kept us updated regularly through a very stressful and emotional experience. I could tell she genuinely cared and was concerned about Sadie; this level of compassion and empathy is rare and made me feel so comfortable and confident that Sadie was well looked after and would get the care she needed. We did not have to wait for a single minute once we arrived with Sadie and explained her situation, they identified her as a high-priority patient due to the severity of her incident and saw her immediately. I am so grateful to WL Vet Care, from the receptionists to Dr. Winson. Everyone was so kind and communicative throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend this clinic and Dr. Winson highly enough!
I cannot thank West Loop Veterinary Care in Chicago enough for the outstanding service they provided. I urgently needed a USDA certificate for my dog in order to travel internationally, and the clinic truly came to the rescue. The entire staff was professional, kind, and extremely efficient, making what could have been a very stressful situation so much easier to manage. A special mention goes to Jocelyn, who absolutely saved the day. At the airport, the airline staff member in charge of our check-in was completely unprepared — she had no idea what the USDA certificate was, what the required vaccines meant, or how to process the paperwork correctly. Jocelyn personally called the airline desk and, with incredible patience and professionalism, explained step by step everything the staff member needed to know: what the certificate was, why it was necessary, how to interpret the details, and how to proceed with the check-in. Thanks to Jocelyn’s knowledge and persistence, the airline staff finally understood the documentation and was able to complete our check-in successfully. Without her, we would not have been able to board our flight with our dog, Chucky. This clinic goes above and beyond in every sense — professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for their clients and pets. I wholeheartedly recommend West Loop Veterinary Care to anyone in need of veterinary services. They are truly the highest standard of excellence.
My girl fur baby was attacked & injured by another dog on 9/23/2025. I called around to various urgent care facilities but West Loop stood out among them all. Of course I was a a wreck after the attack. I couldn’t stop crying as I talked to the receptionist. The compassion and kindness given to me, over the phone, touched my heart. We entered the office and felt at ease. The entire staff provided excellent care to my baby & myself. Now, the fur baby is healing. The phone calls received from Dr. Winson & staff following our visit put the cherry on top of sincere care. Thanks so much for helping us!! Alicia & Bella (the fur baby)!🐾
