I had a truly lovely experience at Whittard of Chelsea in Covent Garden, and it was entirely thanks to the wonderful customer service. From the moment I entered the shop, I felt very warmly welcomed and genuinely supported by Karthu. She took the time to really listen to what I was looking for, asked thoughtful questions, and made a sincere effort to understand my needs. Once she had a clear sense of what I wanted, she guided me beautifully and helped me choose the perfect gift to bring back to my family. Her advice was spot-on, and the whole interaction felt personal, attentive, and full of care. It wasn’t just shopping — it was a beautiful customer experience that made me leave the store smiling and feeling confident about my choice. This is a wonderful place to shop for a wide selection of English teas, hot chocolates, coffees, and shortbreads. Prices are reasonable, and the post-Christmas sale made many items exceptionally good value. I picked up several items for the home as well as gifts, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Definitely a worthwhile stop if you’re looking for quality English products.

A very nice store, very centrally located, with a wonderful selection of teas and chocolates. The team was very helpful, offering advice and recommendations, and helping to make buying decisions. A nice place for Christmas shopping and tea tasting.

Such a lovely (though also busy) tea shop. Absolutely delicious teas and hot chocolate. So many tasting options available on both floors - which was a treat! Found more teas and hot chocolates to purchase and take back home than I intended - but no regrets! The white hot chocolates are delicious, and the mulled wine and berry teas have been a huge hit with family back home. Staff here were kind and welcoming.

I had such a lovely experience at this shop in Covent Garden! The moment I walked in, the staff made me feel so welcome. They’re warm, friendly, and truly the highlight of the place. You can sample the teas and hot chocolates, and they’re always happy to answer any questions with kindness. The products I tried (and bought) were absolutely delicious, and it’s also a perfect spot to find beautiful gifts. I’ll definitely come back for more.
