I went for my first massage at Why Knot! I booked with Mae based on availability since I had no point of reference. I went in with such intense pain all over my body that I've been experiencing for a couple weeks. A few hours post massage and I feel incredible! She did an amazing job addressing all the trouble spots, but she was also so kind and professional. I highly recommend Why Knot and Mae in particular.
I had a massage booked there for this previous Sunday at 9 AM. I booked it over six weeks before my appointment and my massage therapist was a no-show.I have used this agency once before, but would not return. I also never received a follow up phone call from the owner or from anyone regarding the missed massage… yet their own cancellation policy if you are a client states that if you do not give 24 hours notice you will be fully charged for the appointment. I was only told by the individuals were working at that time that my massage therapist did not show up for work that day and that the owner would be in contact with me…….crickets. I understand things happen in peoples lives, but I feel like at the very least this no show should’ve warranted a phone call or an apology..
I've been going to Why Knot for the last couple months and have seen great improvement with my overall mobility and range of motion. Mae is extremely professional and has helped me with everything from my neck to my feet. I leave every appointment feeling better quite literally from head to toe. It's a very welcoming space and I would highly recommend Why Knot, specifically Mae Meyer, to anyone that wants to give massage therapy a try.
Had a great experience at Why Knot! Massage. The clinic is very clean, cozy, and welcoming — you feel comfortable right away. I booked my session based on a recommendation with Sean Murray, and he was absolutely excellent. Truly a hidden gem in Calgary. Very professional, attentive, and he really knows what he’s doing. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and their well-being. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend both the clinic and Sean to anyone looking for quality massage therapy.
It was my first time here and if I lived in the province and wasnt only here for a visit I would definitely come back! Mary was extremely helpful and kind while handling mine and my fiancés appointment. There was a small mix-up with our booking time, but she resolved it very quickly and was so pleasant about it and made everything feel comfortable right away. The massage I got was probably one of the most relaxing I've ever had. I actually fell asleep! She checked in on the pressure so I never felt uncomfortable. I'd never had a Chinese face massage before, but she offered one as part of the treatment, explaining how it's good for the eyes and helps improve their appearance. It was so soothing, and left feeling really refreshed. Highly recommend Mary if you want to be taken care of and feel totally peaceful.
