The concept of bring Japanese style eating to American dinning is fascinating. Service is standard, kind and friendly staff, although they should find a way to flag a server down, so expect to wait patiently for more that 9mins before servers checks in. Price of Belt plated items are fair but can easily rack up as the portion size is smaller starting at $2.95, $3.45, $4.25. Example Grabbed Tornado roll for $4.25 for 3 pieces so half a standard hand roll. I Ordered a off belt item Spicy Tuna for $7.95. The size of the hand rolls are smaller than other sushi houses ive eaten at. HEB sushi rolls are bigger than theirs with equivalent flavor. Flavors are fair ok.. they are not WOW but palatable. Seating arrangements are set up for group eating and solo eating.
Loved it! I will say though that it seemed like the variety for the Happy Hour was not there and that's why I gave it 4 Stars for Food. We still enjoyed our time and we thought this was a much better revolving sushi house than the other location in town. Will be back again! Update: went back again and was not satisfied with the lack of roll variety on the belt for what we paid. The food was good but the same rolls kept coming through. In my last comment I mentioned that we went during Happy Hour. It seems like that was the same experience in the evening which in my opinion should be different since you pay a bit more. That's a management issue, they tell them what goes out. Overall, I would probably go back for the experience, but I was a little bit disappointed. My guests from out of town were happy. It drops my stars to 3.
This place is a lot of fun to visit, has a great happy hour, and the sushi was good. You come here for the experience, not necessarily the best sushi you have ever had. But the waitstaff was helpful and friendly and the robot train delivering the food was fun, as well as they conveyor belt sushi. Happy hour, all plates are under $3.
My 2 kids and I came here for lunch on a Mon. Ez, our server was very informative and delightful! She checked in on us every 5 min or so and made sure our waters were filled up. Even the hostess was really kind, welcoming, and greeting us as we exited. The restrooms have a changing station and paper towels. The food is wayy better than the other chain revolving sushi restaurant! My son loved the wagyu and caramelized charred salmon sushi. My daughter enjoyed our unique, tasty, and flavorful lychee rainbow mocktail (stir it up before drinking) and tuna tataki. I enjoyed the ceviche carpaccio menu, desserts, and the caramelized salmon, too. The mango cheesecake is perfectly sweet with dices of mango! I wish I took more pics. There are dark brown red bean fried balls, not the sesame ones, and they had a super crispy but light shell...I tried to search the name online but must try unique dessert that's hard to find, even online! Edamame was cooked al dente. We wished we checked out this place sooner! It's definitely on our list to come back as a family of 5, as well as a place to bring guests, too. It looks like there are 2 bigger tables for parties up to 8 people. The rest can seat 4 with plenty of elbow room or 6 if smaller folks. The kids enjoyed the token for every 10 plates eaten. The tiny figurines aren't smaller kid-friendly but fun to get. There's a happy hour between 3-6pm Mon-Fri, not holidays. Looks decent with $3 every plate on the belt and some $7-10 dishes, as well as some $4 drinks. We definitely will check their happy hour sometime. I don't drink alcohol, but I'm going to peer pressure my spouse to get the Ube Pina colada next time! Our pork katsu arrived on a spaceship. The 3 of us (2 youngs teens) ate 21 plates, ordered 2 menu dishes, and a mocktail for about $150 after tips.
This place is sooo cool! They have a conveyor sushi belt with plenty of options. I got the chicken hibachi and it was delicious. My sister got a ramen and she loved it. We had plenty of leftovers. We also tried their Japanese cheesecakes… and oh my god 😍😍😍 the UBE one is SO good. Definitely recommend!
