booked a 50-minute Swedish massage ($95) and a 50-minute Holistic Rejuvenation Pedicure ($55) for my birthday. I was very clear when booking—a full week in advance—that I am 4 weeks pregnant. When I arrived, I was given a robe and sandals and left waiting for about 10 minutes. Once the massage therapist finally came to get me and walked me to the room, she then told me she could not perform the massage because I’m in my first trimester. This was extremely disappointing and frustrating, especially since my doctor had already approved a light-to-medium massage and the spa had advance notice of my pregnancy. This should have been addressed before my appointment day, not after I was already there and changed. I then waited another 10 minutes for my pedicure. The technician herself was kind and informative, but the service did not live up to the price or the “spa” branding. For comparison, Ambiance Nail Salon offers a better overall spa experience at a lower cost. I checked out spending $75(before tip!) on the pedicure, and I didn’t even receive polish. There was still visible dirt under my nails and dead skin left behind, which is unacceptable at this price point. Unfortunately, I’ve since received a gift certificate to Woodspa as a pregnancy gift, but after this experience, I honestly don’t want to return. What was supposed to be a relaxing birthday treat ended up being stressful and disappointing.
I booked a COUPLES RETREAT massage at The Woodhouse Spa over a month in advance for my husband and me. We’ve both been under a ton of stress and were genuinely looking forward to unwinding together. Imagine our shock and disappointment when we arrived, only to be told they only had one person scheduled—for a couples massage. When we asked how that’s even possible, the front desk staff shrugged and said, “That’s just the service.” Excuse me? A couples massage with one person? What kind of nonsense is that? There was no apology, no attempt to make it right, just confusion and indifference. I was so upset I walked out. Not only did they waste our time, but they completely ruined what was meant to be a peaceful, shared experience. Absolutely unacceptable.
I had an amazing experience. They greeted me, offered a robe, and a drink. Then Sarah I loved. She made sure I was comfortable, and walked me through everything being that this was only my second time ever getting a massage. I explained my lower back pain, and she made sure to take care of that for me. I feel a thousand times better. I definitely recommend this spa and Sarah. I will be visiting again in the next few months.
I went here for a massage today after doing a long distance bike ride yesterday. Everything exceeded my expectations by far! Very nice, clean facility with a very welcoming atmosphere. Ashleigh (sp?) was my therapist and she did a wonderful job all around- with great skills and she communicated very well! I look forward to booking again soon!
My first visit was for my Mother’s Day gift from my husband and son. I love the atmosphere and the service! I loved it so much that I booked a session for my husband for Father’s Day
