Today was our first time dining at Zen Sushi & Sake, and my family and I absolutely loved it. We ordered the Nigiri & Sashimi Teishoku, which included a 5-piece seasonal nigiri special and 12 pieces of seasonal sashimi—and every bite was exceptional. The fish was incredibly fresh, each piece carrying its own distinctive aroma while sharing a deep, satisfying umami profile. Beyond the outstanding quality of the food, the experience itself truly stood out. Our server, Adam, elevated the evening with his knowledge, professionalism, and natural charisma. His guidance and attentiveness made the meal even more memorable. We will definitely be returning—for both the remarkable quality of the food and the exceptional dining experience. Thank you, Zen Sushi & Sake, for such an amazing first visit!
Went on a Tuesday and as always: 5 stars across the board, top tier service (Brooke was a gem of a server), 10/10 would recommend. The sashimi barracuda and petite crab I got to try for the first time (from the specials menu), both delicious and unique. The only negative was my date was not a fan of Tempura cheesecake, so I was forced to eat it all myself...I was not mad about it! ;)
Wow, what a great dining experience. I had miso soup, ginger salad, and hamachi kama (grilled collarbone of yellowtail) along with white crane sake (a symbol of friendship and generosity). I concluded the meal with a delicious version of japanese cheesecake. Everything was absolutely delicious and reminds me of my travels in Japan. My server, Adam, was very friendly and patient with my questions about the menu. I will definitely be back. For a delicious and authentic Japanese dining experience, you must go to Zen Sushi & Sake.
Weekend in Lexington and found this place on Trip Advisor. Food was delicious and fresh, our server Kayla was great. I liked that they had a separate Japanese fish menu. I tried all 3 of the Fatty Tuna sashimi choices and I’m not embarrassed to say that I couldn’t tell the difference. The fatty tune (high quality) was buttery…but…my palate is not experienced enough to have known which piece I was eating if I wasn’t looking at the fat streaking through it. But, all the rolls we tried were distinctive and tasted fresh. Place is not over crowded or noisy for a Friday.
Really good sushi. Our service was great. We picked this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and my partner has celiac - we had a great experience. Lots of options and our server was very knowledgeable. Comfortable dining experience especially for a shopping center style location, clean and bright decor. Would definitely come again next time we visit
