110 is the best hot yoga studio in Durham. I've taken classes with most of the Durham teachers, and everyone is welcoming, encouraging, and affirming. Each flow and playlist showcases the teacher's personality and creativity. Flows are appropriately challenging, and teachers offer modifications to fit each student's personal practice. I appreciate the opportunity to share the hot room with students of all ages and body types. I wholeheartedly appreciate the focus on postural restoration and alignment-based practice. I use hot yoga to supplement my running practice, and I feel I've become stronger and more balanced in my running. I've also practiced hot yoga through running injuries and feel I have recovered more quickly as a result. Cristina and the team have created a beautiful place for students to cultivate strength and confidence that will follow them into their daily lives. I'm grateful to have a place like 110 in Durham and would recommend it to anyone looking to get stronger in their body and mind.
I would like to begin by saying if I could give Meredith 5 stars as a yoga instructor I would. She teaches the most traditional-based approach that is intuitive to the students attending. Most other teachers at 110 either read off a written class from a notepad or go off of a class that is given to them by the owners they took their YTT from. The studio itself is beautiful, it makes you wish there were more teachers like Meredith to lead the practice. I purchased a 10 day new student unlimited package and two of those days the classes were canceled. There was no email or notification that classes were canceled, I only knew once no one opened the doors 10 minutes after the scheduled class. I was not offered a refund or a two day extension on my purchase. I will say, this is a great HITT workout, that workout just should not be called "yoga."
Transformative Yoga Like No Other 110 Yoga has completely changed the way I move, feel, and understand my body. I’ve practiced at many studios over the years, but nothing compares to the alignment-based movement I’ve learned here. Instead of relying on passive stretching, 110 Yoga focuses on quality movement and joint stacking, something I’d never experienced before. This approach has made me feel stronger, more stable, and surprisingly, less tight. The instructors teach you how to move smarter, not harder, and that shift has been a game changer. Tightness I used to battle with for years began to melt away, not from deeper stretches, but from better positioning and awareness. It’s subtle, powerful, and sustainable. Beyond the practice itself, the staff and studios are absolutely beautiful, welcoming with intentional spaces that support your growth inside and out. With their environment friendly products and practices, I can’t recommend 110 Yoga enough! If you're ready to move differently, feel better, and build a body and mind that will support you for the long run, look no further!!
The instructors know their anatomy and focus on proper form over fancy, fast, and ill formed sequences. You'll leave feeling stronger and more stable. It's therapeutic without being boring, challenging without being punishing. If you're serious about maintaining your body for the long haul and want yoga that actually serves your daily life, there's nowhere else like 110 Yoga.
I have taken a few classes at 110 Hot Yoga and each experience has been phenomenal. The studio is welcoming, clean and spacious. Before visiting 110 Yoga I had never taken a Vinyasa Hot Flow class. I initially was apprehensive as I was not sure what to expect. However, my instructor, Summer, was amazing. She led the class in such a masterful way. She set an excellent pace for the class. It was challenging but approachable. Summer offered alternatives to poses for attendees at different levels. After my first class, I was hooked! I have attended more classes led by Summer and I highly recommend her as an instructor. Overall, 110 Yoga is an amazing studio. I recommend taking a class no matter your skill level. The environment is inclusive of all levels and bodies. Also, the classes are extremely affordable and they even off free community classes from time to time. However, if the amazing environment, great instructors and affordable pricing isn't enough, the cool lavender infused towel you get at the end of each session (which after an hour of hot yoga is pretty euphoric) should make you want to experience all 110 Yoga has to offer!
