John as a local was very knowledgeable about the history and characters from the area with a few good personal stories added in as well. Was an enjoyable and informative tour, would highly recommend.

If you like your adventures with a side of culture, this place is for you. The vibe here is chilled, but there's no shortage of things to see. Whether you're a history buff or just looking to take some happy snaps for Instagram, you’ll find plenty to do. Oh, and make sure you bring a drink—because walking around all day in the sun is thirsty work!

So lets explain I am in my 60's and being male I was wondering how I would find the tour? Firstly its an easy stroll and mainly flat. We started with a coffee at circular Quay and over the next two hours I found myself being entertained and educated. Having walked the streets of Sydney for 40 years its amazing how little we really see so having a cheerful guide explain everything about the women that made Sydney, the buildings, offices, architecture and even the lack of female loos in the 1900s I realised this was an ideal way to learn something new whether your at school or retired Highly recommended and really cost effective for groups and families as kids and oldies can come free with each paying adult.

Had a great Forbidden City of Sydney tour with John. He shared good information about the LGBT history. Enjoyed the beer on Oxford St too.
