First time there today. Classic breakfast was hot and delicious; the eggs were moist, the crisp bacon done to perfection and the toast fresh. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Coffee refills quick and the restaurant is airy and sunny with lots of booths. The only suggestion I would make would be to have an assortment of jams, as our request for marmalade was not available. No big deal, we will bring our own next time!
This is one of my favourite place to come for breakfast. The staff is always courteous, respectful and eager to make their customers happy. There is something about this place that calm me right down. Little music in the background, barely noticeable, but there, so not agressive at all. You can easily have a conversation without screaming!!!! Great way to start the day! Now the food……DELICIOUS…. We have been here many times and so far, never been disappointed. Today, was egg Benedict day. Everything was perfectly done, and was simply scrumptious ! The portions are also generous. A little gem of a place worth experiencing!
This place is a gem and way better then any other breakfast place around. Massive selection for any picky eater. Staff was very attentive and polite. Whoever is running this place should give a course to other restaurants. Bathroom are spotless, seating arrangements are very spacious. The ambiance music was just right. When you figure this is the same or cheaper then McDonald's. It makes me wonder why anyone would not eat here instead. I'll be back over and over. Thank to you and your staff for a great experience.
We found this spot after a hike on a nearby NCC trail, what a great find! Bright, airy, very clean (spotless washrooms) and a wide variety on the menu - something for everyone and every diet. The food was excellent - hot, very tasty, cooked the way we requested - and the service was exemplary - we never had to wait for coffee refills and every server was friendly and happy. We left happy and vowing to return - a gem on South Bank St!
Arriving 10am on a Friday morning, our party of 3 was seated instantly in large and wide comfortable booths. The servers were very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Southwestern Hashed plate, as well as a coffee. Total after tax and tip of $24. My food was flavorful and seasoned well. The eggs, although not visually pleasing, were cooked to order. The taste of the guacamole, poblano avocado ranch sauce, onions and peppers, and chorizo layered together well, and the home fries provided the perfect backdrop. The home fries were very good in their own right, crisped well but with a creamy and rich interior. The amount of food was also generous, and I took 1/2 to go. The coffee was drip coffee with unlimited refills. It was a medium roast, and brewed well with no bitter aftertaste. The server was on point with the refills. I won’t be seeking out this restaurant again, as I found nothing particularly spectacular or special about it, but I can definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a decent and filling breakfast or lunch in the area.
