Everett, Darrius, and Jamell showed up, worked efficiently, and handled our furniture with care. We had an overwhelming amount of moving to be done in-house as well as office to office. No problem for these guys. They move quickly and communicate to make sure all items are where they need to be placed. They went above normal duties to make sure we did not have to worry. Thanks guys, job well done. I will definitely call on these three again for any future moving needs.
Moving is difficult for both the homeowner and moving company. It's messy and emotional, even when it goes well, which means it's got to be a very difficult business to run. Knowing this, I had low expectations regardless of the company I chose. However, after working with AFWATM, I've reset my expectations of what a moving company can be. Most moving companies refuse to come on site to provide an estimate. They want to do this virtually, which is a set up for disappointment and unexpected problems on both sides. AFWATM was very amenable to coming on site to evaluate the job, which was a necessary criteria for me. In fact, it was the company owner who made the house call. I interview five moving companies. AFWATM was the best mix of online customer ratings & cost. I felt very comfortable with the job estimate and scope of work. This was a large job requiring multiple personnel and multiple trucks over two days. The moving team also handled the majority of our packing tasks too, which, in hindsight, was the best money I spent. I'm pleased to report the move went very well. The movers arrived on time on the various days they worked, nothing was broken, all disassembled items were properly reassembled, and no damage occurred at either home. That's all exemplary experience, and even more so when considering the reasonable comparative price I paid. Lastly, I'd like to mention the personnel who worked my moving job: John, Josh, Schyler, David, Anthony, Ron, and Jamell. We actually had a pretty fun time over the course of two grueling long days despite the hard work involved. All of them were extremely polite and worked their asses of for us. I'm truly appreciative. John, the owner, is a stand up guy. We experienced a few hiccups throughout the move and we handled those scenarios together in a completely professional, friendly way. I trusted John & AFWATM with literally everything I own and they were awesome, exceeding expectations in all facets. The highest compliment I can give is a public recommendation attached to my name. If you're reading this while shopping for a moving company, stop your search right here with AFWATM and you'll be glad you did. I would hire then again without hesitation.
Everything went smoothly and as planned! Our movers, Josh, Abraham and Jamell were professional, polite, careful and thorough. I appreciated them taking the time to explain the charges to me also. I would definitely use this company again!
We had a great crew on an awful day to move with all the snow. They were professional and had a great attitude. We were impressed with how aware of the clock they were and made sure to clock out for any breaks so we were only charged true moving time. Would definitely recommend or use them again!
The building manager in our new apartment building recommended A Friend With A Truck as an especially cooperative and efficient moving company. Now that our move is complete, I certainly agree! Everything about this move exceeded my expectations. The person I spoke with to arrange the move was courteous and knowledgeable. Josh, Anthony, and David, our crew of movers, arrived on time and worked professionally and courteously. Ours was a somewhat challenging move, to a fourth floor apartment in a building with only one elevator. Josh, Anthony, and David shared the elevator with only minimal inconvenience to tenants. When our mattress proved too large for the elevator and needed to be carried up four flights of stairs, these gentlemen not only didn't grumble, they also moved the mattress in an amazingly short time I did not compare movers' prices before contracting with A Friend With A Truck. I thought their price was absolutely fair and paid it gladly. There is no such thing as a "stress free" move, but our experience with A Friend With A Truck comes very close, and deserves my highest recommendation.
