This was my first haircut with Alice, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. She's nice, easy-going, and great at cutting hair. Highly recommend! :)
Alice did some kind of magic on my hair. I came in without a clear plan, knowing only that I wanted transformation. She listened to my goals/priorities and schemed up a perfect cut for me. I feel like a different person in it; transformation accomplished. Besides being a hair witch, she is also really cool and a delight to talk to. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Alice is unreliable. She can cancel your appointment without notice. I made my appointment via app, providing my email/phone/cc and still didn’t get any notification! Left for vacation without a haircut 😡
Rosie is an absolute genius with haircutting, I have super curly fine hair and I’ve never had a better cut in my life! She took the time to educate me on the right products for my hair and ever since she cut my hair I haven’t had a single bad hair day! The environment is super cute and welcoming too!
I wanted to post here about a fantastic gender-affirming experience I had here over a year ago with Marina. In April 2022 I came to Midwest Beauty and asked Marina to style my short hair in a way that could be worn in more “femme” styles as it grew out, from short to shoulder length, and she 100% delivered the most fabulous haircut of my life. I’m pretty new to managing my hair as it grows out, and she completely nailed it. I am posting this review 14 months later and I still haven’t been back to a salon since. Haven’t needed to. She was so friendly and we chatted about a variety of cool topics including mushroom foraging 🍄 truly a DREAM of a salon experience. You deserve this and nothing less!! Especially if you are trans, i encourage you to check this place out. Thank you Marina, next time I’m in Madison I will be back to see you for my next big change 💃🏻🫶
