This was our first time visiting Another Broken Cafe. We are glad we joined the waiting list because the lunch/brunch crowd was out of control. You could tell this was another great restaurant by the crowd waiting. We were seated around 1:10 pm, which was 50 minutes before they closed. It took the server a while to take our drink order. After 15 to 20 minutes, we had to request for her assistance. When she can, she was the nicest ever. You could tell she was a little overwhelmed with the number of guests. She stayed professional and helped us. The food options were ok. I am sad there were no more grits. They did bring me a fruit cup, but grits would have been better. Our food was cold. I am sure the food would have been even better with some warmth. We did not make a big deal because they were about to close. The mocktail was just ok as well. I had Salmon, eggs, on a bagel with cream cheese. My husband had Cajun Shrimp and Crawfish Omelette. He enjoyed it. My 6 year old had chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, and chicken sausage. She enjoyed hers as well.
A decent breakfast place with good service and it was a plus for us that they do not cater to young kids. The menu is diverse and unique, but my muffin was burnt and should have never been plated. On the positive side, the fruit side had fresh berries and there were some healthy options on the menu including an egg white omelette.
Was visiting Columbus for a wedding and friends took us to brunch here. Really enjoy our food here. Darrick was our server and shows us midwest hospitality. Gave us good recommendations on the foods! Would like to visit again
This is my second time having Darrick as my server, and at this point I’m convinced he’s part server, part mind reader, part brunch superhero. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel genuinely welcome — like we were regulars even though we’re still working our way through the menu. His recommendations? Spot on. Not the “I guess this is popular” kind — but the honest, accurate, “trust me, you’ll thank me later” kind. And yes, we thanked him later. The service was smooth, the vibes were great, and Darrick made sure we had everything we needed before we even realized we needed it. If Another Broken Egg ever gives out awards, Darrick deserves his own category. If he’s working when you go… just know your brunch is about to be elite. 🥞✨
We've liked this chain from visits to other cities, so when we saw that this one was near our hotel we came right over. Being in the Easton mall, parking is an issue. We ended up finding a paid parking lot across the street. The menu and decor are similar to all the others in this chain. Our waitress was great: knowledgeable, funny, and on top of everything. We ordered many standard breakfast items and they were good for the most part. One big miss though were the grits. They were not fully cooked and flavorless. For a chain that claims southern inspiration, that's a major sin!
