Applied Martial Arts Academy est une école d'arts martiaux de premier plan à Virginia Beach, dédiée à favoriser la croissance personnelle, la condition physique et les compétences de défense personnelle pour tous les âges. Sous la direction du Maître Spence, l'académie met l'accent sur l'obtention des ceintures par des compétences et de la discipline démontrées, et non seulement par l'assiduité. Avec une ambiance axée sur la famille et un focus sur des valeurs fondamentales telles que le respect et le travail acharné, l'AMAA offre un environnement de soutien où les élèves développent la confiance en eux, la concentration et la fierté de leurs réalisations. L'académie propose une période d'essai de deux semaines afin de s'assurer qu'elle convient à chaque pratiquant d'arts martiaux en herbe.

This studio has been so wonderful for my son to attend. We have been members here for over 2 years and he still wants to come almost every day. The leadership that is learned and self confidence he has gained doesn't have a price.
If you have a child like mine, quiet introverted and not sure of himself, I would encourage AMAA. I have heard of other places where the students were given belts without actually learning the skills. But not here, Master Spence loves what he does and thrives that his students understand what the value of each belt means and represents. I have seen my son grow, learn to respect himself, believe he can do work hard to earn his belts and build confidence. But also get a great workout in it too. We have been part of AMAA for 3 years now and he still loves it. Come check them out. They even have two week trail period to see if your child loves it. You won’t regret and they won’t say no to coming back.
Master Spence is GREAT! He’s a very good teacher. I seen my daughter’s growth in her confidence and her skills since she’s been attending Applied Martial Arts Academy.
Words cannot express how fortunate my son and I are that we walked into Applied Martial Arts Academy six plus years ago. Master Spence and his family truly exemplify the core values that I was looking for in a martial arts academy for my then 7 year old son. We visited several other martial art schools around the Virginia Beach area and this was the only school where I watched students advance NOT because they attended classes and paid for them but because they demonstrated the skills that were actually needed for promotional advancement with their discipline. My son did not just get handed a white belt because it came with the uniform, he had to EARN it. Fast forward to today, my son has learned to focus more, speak up for himself and most importantly he has gained a sense of self pride with the promotions that he has earned through his hard work and dedication.
Applied Martial Arts Academy has quickly become a home away from home for my son and I. Master Spence is a wealth of knowledge, he cares deeply for his students and the atmosphere is 100% family oriented! Master Spence does not look at his students as dollar signs, he wants you to learn just as bad as YOU should want to learn! I would and do recommend AMAA to anyone looking to take on the adventure of learning a martial art!
