Been with this team and gym for close to a decade, watching the women's team grow and blossom into something amazing with such fantastic instructors. The women's team and instructors have helped create such confidence and inclusive environment while helping us learn this art.
I can not say enough about this place. The staff is top notch and the women’s team is a great group of women who will make you feel welcome from day one. O would definitely come and check this place out if you want one of the BEST experiences and teammates you will find .
I visited Ares Arizona BJJ in Mesa on a Saturday and had a great experience. The people were very welcoming from the moment I walked in. It was open mat, and even though the main coach was not there that day, I was able to get a few good rounds in with some solid training partners. I had really hoped to meet the head coach, but his students spoke highly of him, and that says a lot about the environment he has built. The gym itself is beautiful. They have a nice coffee bar, a second room where younger kids train, and bathrooms that were surprisingly clean and well designed. You can tell they put real effort into the details — from the layout of the changing rooms to the separate space for kids’ classes. Everything felt organized, thoughtful, and family friendly. Overall, it is a great gym with kind people who truly care about jiu jitsu and creating a welcoming community. I will definitely be back.
Ares Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is amazing! The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and truly care about every student’s progress. The environment is friendly, welcoming, and perfect for all ages and skill levels — from beginners to competitors. The training is top-notch, the community feels like family, and the results speak for themselves. I always leave class feeling stronger, more confident, and motivated. Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn BJJ, get fit, and have fun!
Ma famille s'est inscrite, mais mes trois fils ont respectivement 14, 13 et 7 ans. Je trouve que l'académie est un endroit formidable pour les gens de tout âge. Les entraîneurs sont patients, compréhensifs et bien informés sur l'art du Brazilian jiu-jitsu, et un environnement très adapté aux jeunes. "C'est une excellente académie" ~La famille Espinoza~
