The owner Brittany is AMAZING! Not only is she extremely talented and passionate about what she does, she is also just a great person, a girl's girl if you will. She hooked me up with some other local beauty specialists in town as I just moved into Austin. I am soo happy with my lash lift/tint and so happy to have found her!
My first visit did not disappoint. I followed the Google map directions precisely and found the super cute, clean, bright and sunny salon in the back house on the property. There is no signage at the front of the building (owners of the historical property won’t allow) so trust the map. I had a lash lift and tint which turned out so perfectly it almost looks as if I have extensions. I’ve gotten so many compliments. Brittany, the owner, was tasked at rehabbing the vestiges of a previous lift gone wrong and she nailed it. She was professional, delightful to talk to, and also introduced me to the best mascara I have ever used. It does not smudge in hot weather, does not flake like a lot of tubing mascaras but is not a waterproof formula that requires engine degreaser to make it come off. Just hot water and gentle rubbing. ELLEEVATE MASCARA I tried this place on the recommendation of a friend who has been coming for years and now I will be coming back!
Great owner, great staff & great work! They really accommodated me to make sure I had the perfect lashes before my birthday weekend, even with a tight schedule. I especially appreciated the warm service from Brittany, the owner, and would recommend this place to anyone!
Unfortunately I have had several bad experiences here. I gave it several tries because they do have one of the best prices in town for lashes and refills. 1st experience: The girl who did my lashes was texting while lashing me for the 1st hour of the appointment. She would place one lash, text, place one lash, text. And her cell phone was on the bed right next to my head so I could hear and feel her tapping on her phone as she types out her texts. It was very irritating, unprofessional, and not to mention it was taking time away from my lash appointment. She then tried to end the appointment HALF AN HOUR early claiming she was done. I asked if she could add more lashes as they still needed to look much fuller. These lashes ended up having terrible retention and there were probably like 20% lashes left at my 2 week refill. 2nd experience (different lash artist this time) : started half an hour past appointment time. She was nice and the lashes looked nice afterward but still terrible retention. At my 2 week refill there were less than 40%. I've been getting my lashes done for 5 years now and have not seen this bad of retention. 3rd experience (different lash artist this time): This artist was nice & accommodating. But nearing the end of the appointment I asked her what size lash she used on my eyes to verify (every lash studio I've been to, keeps records of past appointments and should know what size and style you usually get & got the previous time) She says 11's and 12's... I only do 10's and below.. This was extremely frustrating, it's very very basic practice to consult the client beforehand on the size and style they are getting. Especially on a client you've never worked on before. I'm very shocked she didn't ask me this beforehand or look at what I had gotten previously. Then she said she didn't have time to fix it until a few days later... It's unfortunate, but I won't be going here anymore.
Have been consistently going to At Hello Lash every 2 weeks for about 3 months now and will keep coming back for Michelle :) she has taken such good care of my lashes. Very mental and attentive to what I am wanting. My lashes always look great and products are of great quality - seem to last beyond 2 weeks. I appreciate her so much. Owner is always super responsive and helpful if I ever need to cancel or reschedule.
