Five stars! Top notch! Best in class! Atlas Tattoo belongs on the Mount Rushmore of tattoo shops. Imagine if the Beatles or Wu-Tang Clan were tattoo artists instead of musicians. That’s what they’ve got going on over at Atlas. You couldn’t find a better proprietor than Dan Gilsdorf. He is a consummate professional, expert artist and tattooer. Traditional stencil, acetate, or he’ll draw it on with a toothpick, your choice! Lewis can tattoo literally anything in any style; perfectly. He draws so good. Jerry, too. There’s not a single criticism you can level at these guys except maybe they’re too nice and make too perfect tattoos. Juan Puente is Juan Puente. There’s nothing to say about him that hasn’t been said by a lot of other people who know what they are talking about. Master. Then there’s Adam, Anna, Tina and Mav. All extremely talented bad asses. I have to be careful about wearing my Iron Glacier hat because people keep flagging me down to let me know that it confuses their brain and what a great guy Adam is. Atlas is THE SPOT for your first or 50th tattoo.
I was practically a walk-in, booking my appointment the day before with only 20 hours’ notice. I’m very picky about what I consider great work, and Jerry is extremely skilled. His lines are beautiful, shading and color are perfect. He tattooed my ankle/foot (an area I was nervous about due to pain/sensitivity) and he made the whole experience as easy & painless as it possibly could be. I apprenticed at a shop for a few years and have watched many professionals work, all to say I was surprised at how impressively efficient and talented his work was. a true artist! Everyone there was so kind! Thank you atlas xx
My partner and I both got tattooed by Jerry today and absolutely 5+ stars. He was so kind and professional. He also had a very gentle touch, which was appreciated! We loved how our tattoos came out. We will be back to see him for future tattoos and would recommend him to anyone looking to get some work done! Thanks Jerry!
These guys are expensive but it’s well worth it and reasonable if you’re looking to invest in good high quality work & tattoos. Their shop rate reflects the years & years of experience they all have as well as professionalism, cleanliness, and kindness they’ll extend to you. They listen closely and hear you out on custom designs, comfortability requests, etc. and are open to everyone and also provide helpful respectful recommendations (while also leaving it up to your final decision) to consider. Whether it’s your very first tattoo or a returning customer they give you a one-on-one experience that you will always remember. I highly recommend and hope they stay open for years to come as I look forward to getting the rest of my ink done here. They always have stickers, merch, artists’ lookbooks and plenty of goodies while you’re there; there’s even food carts right outside and the shop is always perfect temperature/climate controlled regardless of the weather outdoors. I would recommend showing up 15 minutes prior to your appointment as a courtesy to other clients in the community since they’re very busy and can only do so many tattoos in one day. If you show up right at your appointment time slot then you may be stuck trying to find parking around the block. And they’re open to negotiation and will work around your budget! Just ask! Truly the best shop around.
Incredible place,comfortable, inviting and some of the best artists I've gotten the pleasure of meeting. So grateful to have had Lewis do my piece. My boyfriend got work by the owner! And we flew in from Oklahoma. We called that day when they opened to get a spot. You have to be quick beacuse this place fills up!! We will absolutely be back. Thank you so much!!!
