I placed an order to be delivered next day for Saturday 15 November. It never arrived and after chasing customer services 3-4 times throughout the week, they sent a replacement on Friday 21 November to be delivered next day (Saturday 22.) However, it is now evening of Monday 24 and still there is no delivery of either the original order nor the replacement. While I appreciate the prompt dispatch of the order, how can it possibly just be sitting at a Yodel facility, twice? I've never previously had an issue with Yodel delivering to my address, as they have delivered my Zara packages. However, you would think that with the premium delivery costs you are paying to Avery's, they would use someone like UPS or DHL. The first time experience buying from a company says a lot about them for me. I will probably never order from this place again.
I cannot put in to words my dissatisfaction to date with this outfit. I simply order 10 bottles of wine on 04/11/2025 and I'm still await 6 bottles to arrive. I have never received any correspondence (even after requesting) confirming my order. I chased a few days after my order following the radio silence to be told that they were waiting for me to call!! Absolutely incredible, the lady was extremely unhelpful but advised I'd be updated. Guess what; I wasn't updated and had to call again. Eventually a manager called me back and escalated my delivery. One box arrived yesterday with 4 bottles in and I am yet to receive the second box. I have called in again today and escalated my complaint, so far heard nothing back. The staff you first get through to seem very call center based with a lack of training and knowledge. In simple terms my relationship with Avery is now over and I would urge everyone to think before ordering as the service has ben that terrible. You need to improve your service Avery!!!
Lovely cellar with a great offering. I wanted to buy some Britpop wine however they only had one bottle in stock which was a rosé. I’d be keen to see more of this in stock as it only seems available via their online site. Great experience though and situated in a great location
Wow - fantastic experience dealing with Averys wine. through a recommendation of friend I was put in contact with Adam one of their staff. incredible service from ordering the wine to having it delivered in London two days later ! personal service that went above and beyond and looking forward to further orders. Would highly recommend to anyone after high quality wines. ✔️💪🍾
I went for a wine tasting session for the off the path wines, which I was super excited to try, and it met expectations. The cheese and the pate were delicious as well, so overall, it is worth the price. I dropped a star for the review because I was expecting to have different glasses for each wine. Instead, the wines were poured on the same glass. Also, only 3 out of 6 wines were explained how to pair with the cheese. My preference would be to create a plate with cheese for each individual instead of a shared board as the board is shared with unknown individuals that could "double dip," which isn't very hygienic. But overall, it was a nice experience.
