I ordered the ceviche on a Sunday afternoon. It was delicious. Quiet atmosphere while we were there. Friendly staff. I will definitely go back to try more. It's nice to have a more authentic Mexican restaurant downtown.
As a Level 7 Google Local Guide (with over 18 million photo views and ranked in the top 10% of restaurant reviewers on Google), I gave this restaurant 4 stars because… The food was decent and the flexibility on menu options was a real plus. I ordered the burrito fajita wrap as a bowl and appreciated that they allowed extra meat and substitutions. We also enjoyed chips and salsa, tacos, and other entrées, all presented well. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of downtown, and the atmosphere is stylish with colorful murals, neon signs, and a clean, modern setup. We were the only guests eating inside at 11:00 a.m. on a Sunday, but the restaurant had just opened, so it wasn’t a concern. Our server did a great job, attentive and helpful throughout the meal. The restrooms were clean, which I appreciate. The women’s restroom has a green décor and does include a changing table. The men’s restroom is gray and does not have a changing table, which felt disappointing—it puts the responsibility of diaper changes solely on women, which I did not like. One detail that brought the rating down from 5 stars to 4: while they do offer carbonated water, they charge $3.50 for it. That felt a bit unnecessary for what’s typically complimentary at many restaurants. If they ever fix this and let me know, I’ll gladly upgrade my review to 5 stars. Overall: A well-located spot with solid food, flexible ordering, good service, and a lively interior. Worth visiting, but keep in mind the carbonated water charge and the lack of family-friendly restroom amenities.
If you haven’t hit up Azteca Urbano yet, let me tell you—you’re missing out on a fiesta for your taste buds. This place is only 4 months old, but they’ve already got the whole “flavors on fire” thing down to a science. First up: the margarita flight. You get FOUR full-size margs for $35, and you can pick any flavors you like. Seriously, where else are you getting full-sized flights? I’m still daydreaming about it. For food, we kicked things off with the chile relleno crispy, and it was everything. Perfectly crispy on the outside, bursting with flavor, and absolutely swimming in green chili goodness. Finally, a relleno that doesn’t drown itself in sogginess! Then came the taco lineup: Asada, Carnitas, Birria, Tijuana style, and Pastor. Each one a flavor bomb that made us want to do a happy dance. Shoutout to Henry, the friendliest server/owner ever. He even treated us to Mexican candy shots—on the house! Also need to add that the most amazing servers here are Ashley and Mia. They are both so friendly, sweet and very attentive.
Authentic flavors and a warm atmosphere. We came from out of town and happened upon this gem. Fast, fresh and authentic flavors, paired with high quality service. Good for a casual meal or add some drinks to spice things up. They also have several fun photo ops in the restaurant.
Loved this place! Some of the best tacos that I have EVER had. We tried a few different ones and the flavors were perfect! Great margaritas and the staff was amazing. Ashley was friendly and professional and provided great service. Our drinks were never empty and she was quick and helpful. This place is a hidden gem and we will definitely be back!
