I grew up in south milwaukee and I moved back to find a great bakery with such friendly and helpful staff, an amazing atmosphere, freshly baked/baking goods and just an all around amazing vibe I really loved the place! They even had more affordable day olds yummy looking treat s!! So awesome
Ordered a cake for my son's birthday and it turned out exactly how we wanted. My son and his friends were amazed at how cool it looked. The cake went super fast as everyone at the party, kids to adults, said it was one of the best cakes they ever had. You will be able to tell this isn't a Pic n Save or grocery store cake. It came from a genuine awesome neighborhood bakery and really elevated our event. Thank you so much!!!
Super delicious treats, adorable shop, warm and friendly owners. We are so happy to have such an outstanding bakery nearby. Love the rotating selection in the bakery case, the sandwiches, soups and dips. We've also had the pecan sticky buns and cinnamon buns- those are fantastic as well. Most recently, we had them make a birthday cake for our son. They nailed it! Beautiful decoration, great flavor and texture, and a fair price for the product. A gem of a bakery!
We tried the chili, brioche bomb, fireball scone, peach cobbler cup, and cap n' crunch mystery block for Mario day (Mar10). Our favorites were the scone and chili. We were warned the scone was spicy, but we didn't feel the heat and wished it was spicier. We wanted to feel the burn, baby. The texture and seasoning was absolutely delcious.
If you are looking for some delicious bakery, BAKEHOUSE 23 IS THE PLACE TO GO!!! I ordered a cake for my husband birthday and holy moly!! It was heavy and full of deliciousness!!! It was worth every single penny! We are vegan, and our families are not, and when they tried the cake... they were all in heaven!!! They said it was the best chocolate german cake EVER!!!! My husband got a little greedy at the end (understandable it's his birthday) 🤣 because he saw there were only two slices left. When I left to go to the store and when I came back, they were gone...he hide them in the freezer (he doesn't know I found them) 😆 so we wouldn't eat it on him. That's how delicious it was! We have also tried a lot of their vegan bakery, and we have NEVER been disappointed!!! It's actually fun going there because they always have different bakery out. Oh, and they are SO SO friendly! If you are thinking or looking for a place to try... this is it!!!!
