This studio has great floor space and even better staff. After not dancing for nearly 10 years the staff welcomed me and made me want to dance again. I've been taking lessons for a year now and still enjoy the weekly group classes along with private lessons. Each of the staff is well versed and good at teaching not only steps but good technique so that you feel good about how you look dancing and not just that you know the steps. After less than a year I was able to return to competing!
A wonderful ballroom dance school with truly professional and caring instructors. The atmosphere is very friendly, warm, and welcoming, making it comfortable for both beginners and experienced dancers. The teachers are inspiring, supportive, and help build confidence through movement. Every class is enjoyable and motivating, we always look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!
This is the best place to get ballroom dance lessons in Jacksonville! Carissa is a fantastic instructor who always goes the extra mile for her students, and the owner, Ekaterina, works hard to put on amazing shows, competitions and parties! I've had so much fun getting to dance with both the professional teachers and other students like me. The group classes are taught by various instructors to give you a well-rounded experience, and the parties are full of fun dances and games. Participating in the showcase routine is probably my favorite part of my experience at BDA. We get to show off what we learned, and the instructors come up with exciting choreography no matter what theme or song we choose. I highly recommend Ballroom Dance Academy for anyone wanting to try out dance lessons!
As a parent of two children, I am very happy with this dance school. The teachers, Vlad and Katya, are professional, friendly, and truly care about each child. My children feel safe, are becoming more confident, and happily attend classes, and they have also made good friends here. We see excellent progress not only in dancing, but also in their self-confidence. I highly recommend coming and trying a trial lesson.
The Ballroom Dance Academy is truly exceptional! The space is open and absolutely stunning. The dance floor quality is without a doubt the best I’ve found—smooth, spacious, and clearly maintained with care. The owners and instructors are warm, welcoming, and genuine professionals who really know their craft. You can tell they’re passionate about sharing their love of ballroom and helping every student improve. Highly recommend!
