Always accommodating and friendly. I've had multiple visits with multiple different cars and always exceptional service. Never upsells services I don't need. I have used Beamer from basic oil change to $3k+ work that was needed and always a good experience.
Everyone that I interacted with on the Beamer team was friendly and professional. They did a thorough job inspecting my vehicle, identifying problems, and offering options to resolve the issues. Have been going to Beamer for 10+ years for multiple vehicles and will continue to return.
I am truly disappointed and shocked at the fact that Beamer completely betrayed my trust. I have been taking my vehicles to this location over the span of 10 years. One vehicle in particular, a 2009 Lexus IS250, has gotten the oil change at this specific location for at least the past 7-8 years. No other shop has done the oil change on this car but Beamer Tire & Auto Repair—Greensboro location. About a year and a half ago the car began to consume more engine oil than expected, showing random low engine oil warnings on the dash and requiring more frequent oil changes. I was told this is because the car was older and had high miles, and no leaks were found during one of the oil changes. At the time that explanation made sense, and I continue to get my oil changes at this location. Fast forward to today, because of time constraints and proximity to my job, I took the car to another shop to get the oil change. To my surprise, I was told and shown that the oil pan was previously damaged and the oil drain plug was replaced with a bigger size to try and slow the leak. For this make and model, the drain plug is thread size M12 x 1.25 which requires a 14 mm socket; however, the drain plug on the car now required a 19 mm socket. This explains the low engine oil warnings and more frequent oil changes. This damage was caused at this location, but instead of owning up to it and repairing the damage, the shop chose to hide it. This leaves me with the bill that I now have to pay for a new oil pan and gasket plus labor. I am amazed that no tech at this location could identify this and speak up. Another older review also comments on how a tech told him that "another shop" damaged his oil pan, but I would not be surprised if they damaged it and are trying to blame someone else. This shop used to uphold higher standards, but not anymore. I'm no longer a customer.
I've been a customer of Beamer Tire and Auto for almost 10 years. They have performed various maintenance service for me and my family's cars. I would highly recommend that you give them a try. I think you will be very pleased with their service.
I cannot say enough praise for Beamer Tire in Greensboro on Wendover! A BIG shout out to Chris, Caroline and of course, the very best mechanic, Alan! They are absolutely the best group of people and repair shop in Greensboro! We have been taking our vehicles to Beamer for many years now and they have ALWAYS treated us fairly, have always been honest with us and we never felt like we were ever being taken advantage of. When they make a suggestion about a repair, they will honestly tell you if you "need" it now or if you can wait for a while. The decision to have any repair work is your decision. They don't put any pressure on you either, which is great! And when they offer their services, we know they have our best interest in mind and they are not merely making suggestions to fill their money till! We purchased a used 2015 Acura, in March and we just had it into their shop to have a good "look over" to make sure all was well. Chris and Alan did an amazing job with the repairs it needed. We know that Beamer Tire and their great staff of mechanics will keep that Acura running in tip top shape for a very, very long time as they have done with our 2005 Honda Pilot. It is to their credit that our Pilot is still running like a champ, even with over 260,000 miles and with their great service, we are confident that we will get many, many more miles out of it! Actually, we purchased the 2005 Honda Pilot, I think back in 2014. We were dissatisfied with the previous repair shop we had and I emailed several service repair shops for work that I thought was needed on our Pilot. At that time, Beamer Tire was the only shop that responded to my emails in a timely manner and if I recall correctly, it was Alan who gave me the quotes and got me set up with the service work. If you care about the investment you made in your vehicle and you want to keep it in the best possible mechanical condition, do yourself and your vehicle a favor and make that appointment with Beamer Tire in Greensboro! You won't regret it! Honest!
