I chanced into the store and love it! So many, many books and an extensive assortment. The owner was solicitous and kind to everyone. With ease and without hesitation she guided all comers to what they sought. My favorite observed interaction was her with an intellectually changed adult who wanted a story about bears. The world needs bookstores like this and especially proprietors like this exceptional one.
I adore this efficiently packed bookstore. The shop owner sells used books, and she has an amazing collection. From horror to sci-fi to classics and kids, in addition to contemporary fiction and romance that’s all the rage right now. Follow the store on Instagram for new arrivals and store updates like recent later hours on Thursdays! On my most recent trip, I was able to start a graphic novel collection while also expanding my Animorphs collection. I’ll be back for sure!
I believe I found me another gem of a bookstore 💎. Beyond Bedtime Books is one of those independent shops that immediately pulls you in with its cozy, maze-like layout and eclectic selection. They carry both new and used books, plus rare finds that come in through customers selling or donating—which makes browsing feel like a bit of a treasure hunt. I was genuinely impressed by the range: nearly the full Stephen King collection, multiple beautiful editions of Tolkien’s work, shelves of Ursula K. Le Guin, and a ton of Book of the Month picks. The space is tight but inviting, and every nook feels like it has something worth discovering. The owner was fantastic—fun, helpful, and clearly passionate about the store. We ended up talking about recent Stephen King adaptations and more. Definitely a must-stop if you're in the Dormont or greater Pittsburgh area ✔️
A wonderful shop filled with an unparalleled selection of books! I found books for each member of my family including a huge selection of Heinlein paperbacks. I can’t wait to come back! Owner is such a delight!
One of the great independent bookstores you will ever find, anywhere. All these 5 star reviews - unanimous, countless - somehow barely do it justice! As someone who travels a lot for work, I try to find the “local used bookstore” in every corner of America I visit. This shop is my favorite. It’s true! If you do visit, book lovers, take a minute to talk to the owner Jamie. Her passion for literature and excitement to help folks find their new favorites made my entire trip!
