Did the Run Analysis because my mile times were getting longer and longer. I had assumed it was because I lived at 7,200ft and then 4,400ft of elevation for the past 7 years. But then, back in Cincinnati my times were still consistently bad. I also noticed my IT band was bothering more and more. I chaulked this all up to getting into my late 30's. After the run analysis - I shortened my stride as per recommended and immediately saw my times return to what they were when I left Cincinnati almost a decade ago. I am continuing to track times and make sure they stay consistent but even during the couple runs I did - I could feel a major difference in my form by just shortening my stride. I am also tracking IT band pain as well to see if this also is alleviated. Not sure why my stride had lengthened so much and slowed me down but may have been a metaphor for my life for the past 7 years too, ha. Want to give a shout-out to Beyond Exercise and Dave Montgomery for this insanely awesome turn around in my run game. I was going downhill for a long time and you guys got me back on track. Can't thank you enough!
Beyond Exercise has been by far my best PT experience. I have seen Laura for many years, and she has helped me tremendously with complicated TMJ issues. Cannot recommend the Beyond Exercise team enough!!
If you're a runner in highly recommend Beyond Exercise. I've been working with Laura since the beginning of the year and she is amazing. I started running in January, ran the Flying Pig in May, then ran a 67 mile ultra marathon in August and there's no way my body could have held up without Laura's help. She takes the time to listen and get a detailed assessment then provides a solid plan to work on weaknesses and muscle imbalances.
Today is actually one year since walking in those doors at Beyond Exercise. It’s been the best thing I have ever done for myself and this 55yr old body. Cole is 1,000,000 out of 10 the best personal trainer. Julia is a phenomenal PT. I’m not sure if Eric knew how life changing this place could be, but I’m 100% proof that once you make that call and/or walk in that door your life will never be the same. The staff are so supportive. Beyond Exercise has truly transformed my life and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
