I reached out to a cashier here to try a corset first, as her colleague went to get it another group of customers had gone up to the mannequin to try the corset and because we both went up to it the same time, the guy colleague let the other customers try it first. His reason was that they were in the shop longer. I am quite upset as I did ask to try it first, clearly unprofessional. Now they have bought it and I was left with nothing else. Do not buy from here!
Store is so lovely and has a great atmosphere. Zara assisted me and was incredibly helpful, kind and patient. 100% recommend this store. thank you so much!
Such a lovely store! The atmosphere was so friendly and they had such lovely pieces for a fair price. I ended up buying a whole new outfit. I was served by Zara, she was really knowledgable and kind. I can’t wait to visit again soon!
Wished they noted the sizes of things. As is the THING now for retro and older clothes, and paying a good price for it. This particular place the price is quite good, but not as cheap as a charity shop. Then this is your place. Condition of items can vary. Of course any "outdoor" clothing styles will probably be well past their best, and not offer the protection they once did. The retro clothing does NOT have that musky smell that you can find in some places. Stock changes regularly, so if you see something get it or ask to reserve a couple days.
It’s hard to find a unique shop like Beyond Retro within Bristols city centre! I went in here the other day and was served by the lovely Rachel who helped me find the perfect pair of Levi’s jeans. The atmosphere was great with classic old hits playing in store. Great customer service and a shop I would recommend visiting to find great true vintage.
